Very impressive! So, can it richochette and get you? Or does the gong move enough that that isn't likely? Very intereting.

We are shooting at a 90 degree angle so that the target absorbs the energy by swinging and just being heavy steel. There is nothing beyond the hill so that any misses (not that I ever miss;) ) go into the hillside with many miles of nothingness behind it. The bullets we use are made of lead and jacketed with copper. When they hit, there is virtually nothing left of them to fly off. I would not want to be standing a few feet away shooting at these, but for use with rifles 300 yards away, it is perfectly safe.

I have a few different semi autos, Ar15, Mini14, SKS and a 10-22. I shoot them on occasion. I just dont really have an application for semi autos. If I had a PSG1 chambered in 6.5-284, that would be another story

Howdy Buckshot!!! DA*N fine targets you've created.....certainly looks grand with the white-out background!!! I too,
am a bit of shooter and would relish puttin' some lead on those plates with either my M1A Heavy Douglas Barrel or my sweet Barrett .50 Cal!!! Allow me to ask, how much "punishment" can those plates withstand? We use 1 (one) inch steel plates for our targets and they're trashed within 30 days---the same for you? Keep,it in the "
Ten-Ring" Amigo!!!!! OOO-RAH and Semper Fi!!!!
