I'm just wondering how do you teach a dog not to pull? Mom, my sister, dad, and I were walking. I was holding Liberty's leash. I started trying to have him not pull on the leah because it really hurts my arm. Liberty started pulling really hard and it really hurt my arm. I pulled back to try to get him to stop and Liberty fell and acted like I was hurting him when I barely pulled his leash. Mom started yelling at me and pretty much saying Liberty can do whatever he wants and I can't train him at all because I'm to hard on him. There was another dog and Liberty growls at some other dogs, so I had shortened the leash and was trying to distract him. didn't work and I got lectured for that. I really wish mom would get him to an obediance class to help with this so a trainer can tell us what to do besides telling me that I ccan't train or walk Liberty if I treat him like that. I'm about ready to give up on training him in front of mom. I don't want to do that. Don't see any other options, though. It's really hard to balance mom's methods.
