Hey there! I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that the dogs and I are still quite alive! Sorry for dropping off the face of the earth earlier this year; I got busy with puppy-related activities and sort of fell out of the habit. I'm also at school and away from the dogs for most of the year, so I don't have much in the way of pictures to share - I'm signing a lease on a pet-friendly apartment next week, though, so that should change starting this summer! If all goes well I'll be moving out with Cricket, and possibly (depending on how crazy I decide to be) a new Cricket grand-puppy :)

I have really missed this community, though, and I'm sure I'm behind on all kinds of dogs news from the past six months or so.

I don't think I ever announced this here, but we are up to four dogs! Without further ado I would like to introduce Simon, who is Journey's son and is just about seven months old now.

At six months:

He's a huge dork. He has always been a pretty "go-with-the-flow" kind of puppy, and is just the happiest, sweetest big guy. His preferred method of greeting strangers is to lay on top of them and fall asleep.

You could say he fits in pretty well.

He was pretty stupid cute as a puppy (this is at 12 weeks, I believe)

At four months (that's his sister Ruby in the foreground):

He's a pretty big fan of lure coursing.

And agility is pretty fun too, even if you don't always go in the right direction.

The other dogs are doing fine as well. Lovely Miss Cricket rules the roost, without a doubt:

She does get rather fat when she’s at home with my parents – I suspect she gets slipped things occasionally.

Always my pretty girl.

Journey is doing great – always somewhat above the antics of the other three.

As speedy as ever:

I’m not sure who is the fastest between Newton and Journey – Newton has come in Best in Field as his last three race meets, but Journey has been taking time off for puppies, so they haven’t been up against each other in a little while.

Newton will be coming up on three years next spring, and has matured a ton in the last year or so. Finally exiting the teenage stage, I think.

I've also acquired a longer dog with slightly fewer limbs. This is Oberyn, a 2-year-old corn snake:

They are all gorgeous! I am new here, but since I have been stalking this forum for longer than I care to admit, I remember when you posted about the puppies being born. Simon is too cute for words!

Welcome back! I mostly only lurk here now, but I've really missed your posts! Love your pups! :) Welcome to Chaz, Simon! He's precious!
