What does it cost you to go in for just a general check up, not including any shots, etc your pups need? So just the price of a vet visit?

No charge for a general check up here (unless I have a blood analysis done) -- I have a great vet who is genuinely very happy if there's nothing to do :)

Ok, good :) Thanks :)

I was just wondering compared to mine. Mine is $45 to see the vet, but you don't have to pay that when getting vaccines.

£20 for a consultation normally, but there isn't much of a check-up charge. When she had long nails and we took her in they saw her for free. Vacs are expensive though, £30-£50 a time. And Jess is on a course of antibiotics at the minute and it cost us over £30. But I'm happy with our vets, easy to get an apointment, very informative and lovely staff. Really nice people.

$35. here . I rarely have to go in just for check up . All visits involve shots , or blood work or treatment . Sometimes I'll drop in to check weight and they will clip nails at no charge .

wow .Alice., vac's are expensive there! But it sounds like the price of the vet visit and quality of the vet makes up for it ;) :)

$30 for a "wellness exam", which means walking in the door
Anything else is extra

My vet doesn't charge me the wellness exam if the animal is from the shelter of a foster, unless they aren't getting anything extra (shots, s/n, meds, ect..) :)

Ours is $25 for a check-up or if the dog is sick.

Vaccines are $7 a piece, any other meds you have to pay for.

If you take your dog to the vet and it is sick, they charge you the 25 the first time you go in, but any visit after (say a week later to make sure all is alright) is free.

We (Kona and I) love our vet... there are three in the office, and we like the two we have met. The techs are very nice as well, and gentle with your animals!

Mine usually runs me about $30 something unless it's a new dog, in which case the first time visit WITHOUT shots is $70. I just got Sawyer's bordatella updated and that was a little over $30. So it's not too bad...there are cheaper places, but I love my vet! And I get a discount at his place. :)
