Poop

my yard is small and i have three dogs, so i'm definitely picking up poop. i bag it and throw it in the trash. not the best solution, but i don't know what else to do with it.

I take poop bags with me on their walks/hikes and I ALWAYS pick it up (never occured to me to leave it when we're 5 miles into the woods...DUH.) and then I clean the yard every day when I get back from their walks.

I pick it up right when they go. I'm like one of four people in this complex who do it anyway and right now it's gotten so bad that the complex is fining people $50 if they catch you not picking up after your dog. The front lawn looks like a minefield and presents a pretty disgusting picture when you're taking a tour.

When I had a home with a yard, I was pretty lazy about it because we barely ever used the yard itself. But I'd go around at least one a month and pick up. When I get a house again, I'm going to try and scoop up after them at least once a day to keep the flies down in summer.

In the yard... I usually do it every other day, since their poops turn white and practically turn to dust after a day. : D yesssss for Raw poops!

Have you looked into Doggie Dooleys? I am seriously considering getting one.

They dont make one big enough for that amount of dogs we looked into it. Unless they have a new one out of course.

hmmm... burying it in the holes he digs, yeah. That's sure nice of him to clean up after himself in advance. I think Juicy's answer is about the most environmentally responsible, dig a little hole, bury it, then fill the hole. Maybe you could train your dog to bury his own poop?

I seriously hope you are joking. If not, it is irresponsible owners like you who give all responsible owners a bad name. The reason dogs are being BANNED from public places left, right and center is due to owners who take no responsibility for their own animals.

We have a tiny kennel (about 5x9 or so) with concrete stones for the floor right across from the back door and for the most part THAT is where the dogs poop. I let them out the back...........they run in there, do their business and then normally take a few laps around the back for patrol, LOL

On the off chance that either of them have to go number 2 on a walk we pick it up and dispose...........all the while being embarrassed if people are watching, :lol-sign:

So DEFINITELY I pooper scoop and throw it away I remember last year when orson picked up whip worms somehow (yes, he was on heartguard and still managed) I was out there with the hose & bleach after every poop! YUCK!!
