I talked to my parents about this too. The opinions are purely something I just find interesting. I enjoy seeing what people think is and isn't okay, when someone is in need. Where do you draw the line on health care and affordability, things like that. Especially when you know that you're not dealing with some back-alley scummy dealer.
My parents both concluded, it depends on the problem; it would differ for them both on whether it was psychological, physical, pain, anxiety, etc. This is my view as well, though I still don't see any of it as morally wrong, or exceedingly dangerous if you're aware of where you're getting from and all side effects (which you should be aware of any drug effects or warnings if you've been prescribed to it before).
