Phobias

Mine is heights, but is more the feeling that I'm falling. It got worse after I had my kids. You would be suprised at all of the things people are scared of. I have a Time magzine that has an article that is about phobias. It has a list of almost every phobia. If you want to know some of the weirdest one let me know.

I love clowns! I collect them and yet everyone seems to be scared of them.
some of mine would be:
snakes, mice/rats, flying (I can handle being in a small plane), esculaters, certain heights (like going to top of the Arch in St.Louis, climbing a tall ladder, ect. (but I dont mind climbing rocks or never bothered me to climb trees), tics, leaches, ghost (you'd think I would have outgrown that one), oh heavy traffic or city traveling.
I seem to have alot of them and I could come up with more.

I'm exactly the same way!! I have this routene before I go to bed.
I first check to see if all doors and window are locked, then check to see if the stove is off, then check doors and windows again, then open parents door and turn off fish tank light, turn off tv/computer/and any remaining lights, check doors/windows, get ready for bed, check doors/windows, go in my room lock my door and check my window and under my bed, then check my closet, then turn lights off, get in bed.
When I write it down it seems kinda obsessive...Oh well
Well I guess I am afraid of robbers/murderer's/rapists/kidnapper's that may try to enter my house while I sleep. Oh, and I'm pretty paranoid about anyone I see on the streets or shops or anything like that. I'm not real...urm...strange about it just real cautious.

It shocks me how many people are scared of clowns. My daughters hate clowns, last halloween one was telling about a haunted house for the public and how scared everyone in the group was of a clown. I like clowns, but I refuse to watch scarey movies too, will only watch certain types like poytergist.
Its funny to see everyone's fears and to see how many alot of us have. I did notice I'm the only one scared of ghost!

Oh My Goodness, that movie FREAKED me out. And then when I was in college a fraternity had a Halloween party where you would have to walk through that Clown's mouth to come inside their frat house for the party, and believe me, I found something else to do. I would never have done that. Eeech! That movie freaked me out.
Also, the Stephen King movie "The Cat's Eye" freaked me out when I was young, that little troll that stole childrens' breath as they were sleeping and he came out of the wall. I wanted a cat forever after that since the cat killed the troll, but my mom would not let me have one. So, I placed books all along the walls so that the troll could not come out. It is funny what scares you when you are a kid.
I hate heights, June bugs (OMG, those scare me), Wasps, Bumble Bees, some clowns (it depends on how they look. Circus clowns or whatever don't scare me, but some freak me out big time...), and ever since I watched Chukie when I was seven, I hate hate HATE old dolls and old marienattes(sp?). Those scare me. For a while, I even thought my American Girl doll was going to come alive and kill me.

Ah, yes! I forgot bumblebees. They always seem to target me....even if I'm not doing anything, they'll come up and sting me! I've had bad experience with bees....don't like them AT ALL.
Yikes!! I've never had anything like that....
My fourth oldest sister absolutely hates spiders. She always makes me kill them for her, LOL.
