I actually stalked the mini-Maisy on his rescue page and browsed through their policies and adoption form, even though there's no way they would let me have a dog and no way I can HAVE another dog right now anyway.

That Brittany is GORGEOUS!
Isn't he?! I think they're beautiful dogs in general but something about his face... gah. Be still, my heart!

I also just realized I lied. I do REALLY want a senior Brittany some day and would/will absolutely seek one out eventually. The seniors that I've known have just been the most amazing, happy but chill dogs I've ever met. I'd take either of these guys in a heartbeat:

I think I'd enjoy pretty much any senior sporting dog, but the Brittanys... **** you, Rowan, you ruined me. lol

I was looking at breeders (am on a few long term waiting/consideration) lists for a puppy but still I insist on going on petfinder ... Why do I DO this to myself ??? I can't save them all & their sweet, sad faces call to me .

Anyone else with this problem?
YES! I was exactly like that while I was waiting for Enda (although I don't check as often, I so still browse Petfinder, it's craigslist more often these days). To my utter SHOCK, I actually did find not one, but two Beauceron's in rescues in PA, one in Philly and one in Pittsburgh, Purebred, one even had cropped ears, both approx 2 at the time. Problem? "No out of area adoptions!". I do wonder what ever happened to those two, I really do.

I'm kind of going through it again, ABC is taking in a substantial "lot" from a breeder right now (they need transport if anyone is willing, look up the American Beauceron Club's facebook page), and ultimately no, I do not have the time, room, or financial status for another dog. But there are also at least two dog from this "situation" who were picked up by a rescue in the area (Ohio) who again, has the "no out of area adoptions!" clause. One's purebred (the other is half GSD) if anyone in Ohio is interested. http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/26607355

Herders:

http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22927955 He's been available for a while, poor guy :(
Dundee is from the rescue that Rider came from. He was adoptable when I was looking around there a year ago. Poor buddy! He's gorgeous, too!

Limerick (if he's still available) was a dog we transported to Casper when we picked up Rider. Small world.

ETA: I have major want for Dallas... I just checked. Limerick and Dallas are both gone. Probably a good thing! Lol. Crash, http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/26852534, is super cute! Oh... ACD puppy in FoCo! http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/26353888
