Don't worry about what other people say. From her pics, she could stand to gain a couple pounds, but she is not going to waste away or anything! Let us know how the satin balls work!

Maybe you should start feeding her big macs :D

I think she looks great. From your pics in the other thread, I wonder if she doesn't have some greyhound in her lineage.

Riot had the exact same problem when he was on EVO... He couldn't keep weight on.. he packed on muscle.. but his weight dropped significantly..

Maybe switch her foods to something that has a higher calorie intake.

Riot lost SOO much weight on EVO - as much as he liked it,and its such a good food.. he just couldn't keep it on..

well Riot has been on Fromm Duck and Potato, EVO RM, California Natural (Lamb puppy), Reg Innova Adult, Wolf Cub(Solid Gold), Wellness.

The one that actually KEEPS weight on him is the California Natural. Its the only one that has successfully kept his weight and allowed him to gain muscle and KEEP his original mass.
He current weighs in at 25kg and on the EVo RM he was weighing around 22kg(too light for him).

I know its not grain free - but it is still an awesome food. Everytime Riot has tried a different food his weight drops.

hes such HIGH energy and burns fat off so quickly lol Its the only thing that works for him - especially in swimming season when hes in the water just about every other day!

I feel ya, Jess. I have a similar problem with Zeus. But in his case, I think he's naturally lean. Whenever I try to put some extra meat on his bones, it just seems to turn into mushy flabs around his chest without actually adding bulk over his ribs/backbone.

Is it possible that's the same case with Chloe? Or is this a recent development? Maybe adding some fat to her food would help.

Well, she's always been lean, it just seems like in the past month or so, she has lost weight and she is looking and feeling "bonier" than usual...especially around her waist, hip area...

Hmmm. Maybe EVO isn't a good food for her. Although IMHO, I think she looks fine in those pictures you posted. I wouldn't want her to lose anymore, but I don't think she's unhealthy. I think she's quite pretty.

Zeus thinks so too! He likes 'em leggy
*wink wink*

Come hither, cutie...

But seriously, I think people nowdays just aren't used to seeing a dog that's not carrying a lot of extra fat.

Jaysus and mine eat their EVO and still are gaining and are now too heavy. It is to hot here in the Summer to have them do their laps in the desert so I am hoping they will dump some pounds in the fall and winter months when I run their little fat arses off lol.

I have to agree here. We've had so much luck getting Rose up to a good weight on California Natural. Just some thought. I think even Trey gained a bit, though he's still too bony for my taste. And Nik's too chunky lol.

Yeah, like Gem said. I think people are just so use of dogs being bigger, that when they see a "lean" or a nice fit dog, they are like :yikes: poor dog your starving her!!

One good thing about having longhaired dogs is even if your dog is a stick, he doesn't look it. Trey is always a bit underweight in my opinion- he just has a high metabolism and never gains anything! No one ever comments on it though, because you can't tell unless you feel him.

I hadn't thought about her diet being the problem. I have Charlie on Wellness Simple Solution right now and he has been gaining weight like crazy (not a good thing for him) so you might look at Wellness as well if you decide to change foods.
