For Bailey it was "chase and BITE".
For Chloe (now 6 months) it is: INTENSE eye stalk, chase then nip not bite and guess what? She only does this to BAILEY...LOL...he looks at me like, "WHY is she doing this? Is she crazy?" hehehehe I think maybe he's getting back some of his own medicine! Chloe has never puppy bitten a human but plays like this with the dogs but never hurts anybody. Completely different personalities but same breed, same instincts but both love to herd only in a different manner and technique.

Bailey's outlet is a childs big ball. You know like the ones 4 year olds stand and bounce up and down? He likes to run and push it all over the place and have it kicked so he can chase it down and jump on it. He doesn't bite it any longer because he busted one one time and his ball was gone, it didn't work any more and he was sad until I got to Wal Mart to get another. Now we keep two around. Hail to the $2.95 childs ball. :hail:

OOOHHHHHHH!!!

I have so "been there, done that" and I PROMISE you it will get sooooo much better.

I found this forum when Colt was 8 weeks old - he is now 7 months and I don't think I could have made it here if it wasn't for the help and encouragement of everyone here - especially Doberluv and the other Collie owners(ToscasMom) and SummerRiot. Colt was a savage when we first got him - I thought he was a deranged dog, but he is wonderful now. Of course, he still has some "issues" but what dog doesn't?

Be patient and take the advice of the experts on here and your puppy will be the light of your life in no time.....
