I hate cleaning up poop..I have enough to clean up with just my dogs let alone someone elses. Just seems that it is the "norm" to allow your dogs to run about freely around here! Which is why we are fencing in our front yard.
I dont mind a person who has thier dog on a leash allowing their dog to roll around or gallop through my yard as long as they clean up any messes thier dog makes.
Guess I am a little lax on that.

Respect, values, or morals are a learned behavior. Not everyone has the same views of things. I try to remember that. Its neither good or bad. What one person views as bad, another might see acceptable. Its how the world works.
Of course there is the OBVIOUS. I just try to take it all with stride. To each thier own.

I agree it is an issue of respecting someones property. That seems to be a big problem here in the good ole USA. Too many feel it is there given right to do what the heck they choose, where ever they choose...whether it is theirs or not. Like Debi, since I now live in the country...dogs can get shot for trespassing on someones property.

If the concrete is 120 degrees it is too hot to be walking a dog that time of day. It would be healthier for your dog to be walking at a cooler time of day.

One alternate reason to not let your dog on other people's grass is pesticides and other lawn treatments. Many people do chemical warfare on their lawns to keep them nice, and it is not good for dogs or people to have contact with that.

Personally I always kept my dog off other peoples property. Grass or dirt...it doesn't matter, because it isn't mine.

And yes, just your dog walking on a lawn isn't going to damage it much, but the next 100 might. It's like walking in the woods. One person doesn't do much damage, but hiking trails get worn in by many people doing the same thing over and over.

That guy might have just finished replanting the edge of his lawn from the last time people walkied on the edges, and was a little touchy about it. Yes, he was rude, but technically he was right.
