haha on a side note... my friend Pat was asking me if I would be willing to help his girlfriend train her dog. I told him I might be able to when I have free time, but most of my time is spent training Bamm.

I asked him what kind of dog.

He said it's a Ratrreiller

can anyone tell me what that is? I think he meant rottweiler?

This is probably the same woman that will argue a labradoodle IS a real breed.

Some people

when we first got Mac and we took her into the vet he said "ahh a dobermann puppy" um yeah... she's about 2 weeks old and we painted the white on her chest. Comeon just because she's black and tan?! Now she gets "look, manchester terrier!" ALL the time.. she's just a mutt people.

everyone knows the breed is pronounced "rockwilder
LMAO!

That reminds me of my very 1st day on the job as a Vet Tech. My very first time answering the phone was followed by this: "Yeah, uh, I think my Rock's got provo." I could barely retain my laughter and I soooooo wanted to tell him that we don't treat inanimate objects and that rocks were immune to whatever provo is b/c they aren't living things anyways.

Rarely do I ever here people in this are call them Rottweilers (I can only imagine the results if we asked people to spell it :D ). They are always "Rockwilders" or just "Rocks" and that includes the "breeders" as well. Such a shame.

Hmmm.... so bernese mountain dogs are a rott + saint bernard mix. (the white marks comes from saints ;) )

Coonhound are bloodhound + rott

gordon setters are really english setter and rott

And black and tan dashounds...... are mini hotdogs rotts :D

Since black and tan is exclusive to rottweiler.

This whole thread has been one big ROFFLE.
:D:D:D:D
Agreed!

Ooooo.....that reminds me of my old neighbor who thought he knew it all and was going to breed his own Dobes. Because after all, the Doberman was just a cross between a Rottweiler and a Greyhound. So he was going to buy a Greyound to go with his male Rottie and, well, you know.............. (here's where I go vomit)

Hopefully he was too stupid to ever carry his plan through.
I just Googled it and found this:

Ha ha

What about the black and tan Dachshund? Did they breed those from Rotts, too? If ignorance was bliss, then the world would be nirvana.
