So very sorry to hear about all the troubles with Renee and her puppies. Breeding can be really rough sometimes :( Lots of good thoughts for Renee and the pups!

It never occurred to me that some pups are actually younger than others by days.
Haven't read through this whole thread, so I'm not sure what this is in reference to but puppies are born 63 days after ovulation, not after the breeding.

My Symphathies on losing the tan baby.

I feel for poor Renee. It sucks when they are hurting and you feel powerless to help them.

Sending more well wishes and hugs.

Sorry, can only find time for so many posts. We still have 8 puppies, so that's good. They are all gaining, and Green and Brown have doubled their birth weights! The others are close behind.

Yellow had a bit of a set-back this morning, not sure why. The vet couldn't find anything wrong, even x-rayed her. She's doing better now, not screaming any more, but hasn't started nursing from the bottle again yet, so back to tube feeding her. She did however start suckling Renee recently. I pray she doesn't go on us :( She's such a sweet, adventurous soul.

Renee is doing very well, but far more protective that she was last time around. She has little to no tolerance for my poor daughter; I'm having to correct her for growling when the little one comes down to see me. She also has no tolerance for strangers at the moment, which compared to before (and last litter) is really unusual. Not that I blame her after everything she and the puppies have been going through.

Still not getting much sleep, but it's slowly getting better. I can't wait until they are on solids. In the meantime, we can just keep plugging away.

Just a last update on this thread. We did end up losing Yellow, but everyone else is doing fantastic. If you look on the blog there's lots of recent photos and even some videos :) I'll post puppy pics in the photo section later.

I am sorry for Yellow. Sometimes the world just isn't meant to be for them no matter how hard you try. Mom looks great and so does the litter. Congrats. Look forward to seeing your puppy pics here.
