Had a dr. visit today (routine followup for some health maintenance stuff). It didn't go great. I need to follow up with a cardiologist. Major life changes coming my way :(

I look on the bright side, though, I can change my diet, exercise, etc. and live a long life to watch my kids/(future) grandkids grow up.

That is a wonderful reaction to have so soon after finding out about the necessary follow up. You are absolutely right. And those lifestyle changes will almost surely make you feel better overall, mentally and physically.

My thoughts will be with you and I wish you the best.

((((HUGS)))) Eddie. I agree, look on the bright side. You will feel so much better after those lifestyle changes, and be around for a long time.

You can do it!!! If you need to drop any pounds (not sure if you do) feel free to join in the weight loss and exercise threads. There have been some delicious and healthy recipes and loads of support for making healthier eating choices-which are good for everyone.

You can do it, eddie! Justin went through the same thing in November... he had a doctor's appointment and they said his blood pressure was too high, and he's only 29... so that finally motivated him to eat better and exercise, and I helped by finding yummy meals that were healthy, and he lost almost 30 pounds. We haven't been doing as well since the wedding but he's still doing the Wii Fit and everything. I'm proud of him. You can do it too.. I know ya can!

One week update. Down 10.2 pounds as of this morning. I started up my new medications as well. Clothes are actually a touch loose already. Once the weather cooperates, I'll get out walking again.

Thanks again for the encouragement when I was feeling down.

Are you following a doctor's plan or making your lifestyle changes on your own? Whichever way you're doing it, sounds like you're off to a great start!

I need to know your weight loss secret!!!!!!
