wat we mean is, are the dogs close to the daschund breed standard and do they have any health defects in their anscestry, like do they have any defects they could pass down.
you should only breed to better the standard of the dogs and by how many litters their having htey really sound like BYBs
i'd stear right clear of buying puppies from these people.
Yeah i would never buy dogs from them you never know what the past is with the dogs. I only see with my eyes that they are well bred,im not really sure cause i dont know much about breeding.

inbred is bad, but linebreeding is OK.

My opinion inbred is father to daughter, mother to son.

Linebreeding, done by a expert can be good, it can lock in desirable traits, however it magnifies any faults the dogs have. It should only be done by a profesional.

The problem when people breed their dog without health testing is that down the line you can end up with dogs that have lots of problems - back problems for example are very common in poorly bred daschunds. Health testing mostly is to make sure that only dogs that don't have any of the genetical problems are bred. When the dogs are not tested, you can't know what problems they will transmit to the puppies, which is why they should not be bred.

So that's how we define backyard breeders... people who don't bother with genetic problems when breeding. And unfortunately because of them lots of unhealthy dogs are born every year :(

When i grow up i want to breed some kind of dog from the aka a registered dog, thats not byb,is it?
Not as long as you find a good mentor, show and prove your dogs, health test, study pedigrees, have the money and time to care for the dogs you own, and even more money and time to take constant care of the puppies for several weeks after their birth.

Breeding is a serious job. And it has alot of hardships.

on mtv on tv there was a show called cribs on, and the guy from Outkast is a breeder but he also has a whole bunch of people helping him.Guess what the breed was... pit bulls! hes the one that sells all of the pit bulls to rappers! the reason why rappers like pit bulls so much is because they look so tuff! lol...there was a whole bunch of pit bulls all locked up. there was so many of them it wasnt funny! One of his pitbulls was in Bow Wows video along time ago, they are pretty well bred dogs!

As in what faults?
They are really healthy and do not have any health isues at ALL!
Can you name the faults for me?
Ayla, she is a byb if she doesnt do any health testing.

Faults are anything that doesnt comform to the breed standard.

You cant say that they are well bred, if you dont know what the breed standard is.

I personally don't like the promotion of Pit Bulls this way....make them more as part of the " hood "...they are way too popular here as fighters, drug dogs, guard dogs etc. All the worst in them is promoted . It's sad !!

I agree with Grammy, plus any breeder selling lots of puppies doesn't do it by love of the breed but by love of money. I totally despise it personally.
