Wow. I'd be so incredibly pissed at my parents. Poor Rumor. I hope she's feeling better today!
She doesn't seem to be too worse for the wear. She's just looking super pathetic and sucking up all the attention she can get. The drain is out but the two holes are still open and bleeding. Gross to see her drip blood everywhere, but she doesn't seem too bothered by it. I think she looks pretty dopey with her naked, shaved leg.

Sending lots of healing vibes and hugs.
Thank you. :)

So sorry :( Hope she has a speedy recovery! My mom is watching our dogs next week... but I think I'm more worried about her than the dogs lol
When she was younger I was the same. She used to eat carpet, destroy shoes, and she chewed through one of the balusters in the foyer. And she would quite frequently sit there and scream her head off if you weren't giving her the attention she demanded. She was an unmanageable handful for most people, lol.

My parents are off limits for the malinois. lol They care for Arnold, sometimes, but that's it.
I thought since I set up the tie-out, ran it up through the side door and into the garage, it wouldn't be too terribly difficult to simply clip it to her collar. I was wrong. -_-

Well, thank goodness she's going to be ok! Any chance she got onto a road?

The clinginess wears off . . .it takes a while.
It's literally an impossibility. She would have to travel a few miles to find a road with a decent amount of traffic. My parents' house backs up to a pretty expansive wooded area, which is where she went galavanting around. My mom didn't hook her up to the tie-out, but she did at least stand outside and watch her. I guess that's better than nothing. The cut almost looks like she must have found metal somewhere. It's so clean. I have no idea how she did it.

Poor dear... I hope she heals up fast.

I would be beyond angry too. I always stress when I have to leave someone else in charge of my guys...
I feel bad because the entire time I was gone, I kept mumbling about wanting to go back and get her. My poor girl. :(

Rumor says thank you for all the love. <3

I don't think anyone told the Doberman breed this. :rofl1:
No. They didn't. She's always clingy, but I think we're going to merge into a single being by the time this is over.

Poor Rumor :( Glad she is no worse for the wear, other than a silly shaved leg ;)
And her staples. She looks like a science project.

Oh dear!Poor thing,hope she feel's better soon.
Thank you. :)

That's so awful! I'm glad she's doing okay.

I'm so glad I can trust my dad with Elsie. He thinks many of my rules are stupid, but he follows them. The only time we had an issue was when she was about four months old--he took her to LA to visit my sister while I was at school, and when he stopped at a park for a potty break, he let her run around off leash... 60 miles from home... near a highway. Nothing happened, but I let him know that I wasn't comfortable with that, and now he takes her long-line with him.

Oh my gosh, I'd be SO mad if that happened with one of my dogs!

I hope that her leg recovers quickly. At least her woe is paying off with treats :D

I'm sorry :( Poor Rumor girl.

Knox is off limits for everyone except my boss. This includes Steven. :p

Oz and Enzo have stayed with my mom while we've been gone on overnights. If we decide to go somewhere this year, Knox will board with my boss, and Oz and Zo will stay with my mom. I would be SO ANGRY if anything aside from a true accident happened while I was gone.

My mother is really good about watching Argon and the persians, but there is literally no one who I cant trust with Gambit. This means that Gambit gets to make a 32 hour round trip rescue transport every 6 weeks or so. Of course, 32 hours being trapped in a van with his mommy is like a little slice of heaven when you're as much of a hemarroid as Gambit is.

There was an incident last year where Argon slipped out the door on my mother without a leash and took off, and the neighbors dog attacked him, resulting in a severely broken toe, but I can excuse that. After all, it was a mistake, and if the neighbors dog had been on its own property, it wouldn't have happened.

I would be fine with them thinking my rules are stupid, as long as they follow them. The thing that annoys me most is that I made a tie-out that's probably about 100 feet long, and I set it up so that it's trailed up into the garage in such a way that you literally have to walk by it to let her outside.

Oh my gosh, I'd be SO mad if that happened with one of my dogs!

I bought her SO MUCH FOOD at the feed store yesterday. She was thrilled.

Rumor is okay with Adam because he can follow rules. She doesn't listen to anything he says, though. :p

I lol'd at the bolded part! Accidents I can excuse. Purposely choosing to ignore my rather simple request, I can't.

Poor Rumor! feel better {{vibes}} for her.
