What's everybody getting their mother/grandmother/aunt for Mother's Day?

I have no clue what to get my mother, and it's driving me nuts. She said doesn't want any more "stuff". She loves gardening, but it's too late in the season to get her a new rosebush, and I swear the kitchen table is going to collapse if she tries to squeeze one more orchid on it.

My sis and I are going to make her a nice seafood dinner, since she loves seafood. But aside from that, I'm at a complete loss for ideas.

What's everybody else doing?

All you need is love. ;)

I like gifts that will make people laugh. So something of that sort.

i was thinking of getting my mom the book "Little Men." It's sort of the sequel to Little Women, and she has one of the original editions of that. Plus she loves to read and I know she doesn't have it :D

i will probably make her dinner as well, because I'm rather short on cash. I found a great recipe for Chicken Broccoli Divan I tried last night... but my dad refuses to eat poultry so I'm not sure what I'll do about him. Maybe I'll bring him a frozen pizza. :D

I won't be seeing my mom this mothers day :( but I am sending her a live plant. whether she puts it in her garden or keeps it in a pot in the house I know she will enjoy it... and I will WARN her about spider mites so hers doesn't suffer the same fate as my rose bush I got last mothers day lol. We are sending Brians mom a bouquet of lillies.

And I don't know what we are doing mothers day. haven't thought of anything... although I might request Red Lobster for dinner lol. It's my guilty pleasure lol. BUT I do know that right now there is a box in the dining room that has mine and hannahs name on it and it says "Pajama Gram" on the box. BUT I can't open it until Brian gets home lol.... I'm dying to see it. He said there is something for me and for hannah.... I can venture a guess and say it is something to do with PJ's lol. But I can't wait to see it :D

LOL babe... When you called to say it was there, I only told you to wait to torture you. Hehehehe. ;)

But please do wait. I want to see your face when you open it. Only like two more hours. You will survive.

I went to the big Vera Bradley outlet sale last week and got my mom a bag to put her coupons in and my grandma a bag to put her makeup in.

My mom had her fall a week before mothers day last year and has not seen her house, her dog, her hometown, or a lot of her friends since (she is in a nursing home near me). Now that we have our own wheelchair van and she can sit up for more than a few hours we are going to go up and see everyone and go out to lunch and to her church.

As a Mom and Grammy just doing something with the family means the most . Flowers are nice , but the dies . Memories don't . I've already been invited to be picked up Saturday and being taken to Red Lobster ! Since I'm not driving , that means a dry martini !!! I don't eat much so will order their sampler appetizer platter . Has everything that I like !

I'm writing my mother a letter, telling her how despite my best efforts to the contrary, I really am her daughter. ;) Basically just thanking her for everything she's done and given me and things that I still want to learn from her.

I can't afford anything besides a stamp and a phone call right now anyway.

Well, I might be bringing a Bloodhound home.... but that wont be for her, and I don't think she'll enjoy it much LMAO!

Probably she'll get cake and a hug. She never really wants things..
