Awww that's cute Sparks, can't wait to see! I hear Pajama Gram has some super comfy PJ's. At least that's what the Bob and Tom show says. :p

I don't know what to get my mom..... I should probably run somewhere and get something now since I have to give it to her Thursday morning and I work tomorrow :p
I wish I didn't have to work on Sunday.. I would love to spoil her. She deserves it.

That's true. And my mom is so super awesome, she wouldn't even care if I totally forgot Mother's day.

But I would never do that.

I like the plant idea. I think I'll tell steve to get me one from Fiona. :p And I might get my mom one. Or a book.

As usual, I have no idea. I'm just surprised that I remembered the 10th is mother's day. As for a gift...well she gets to see me, right? I mean, I'm kind of a big deal.

Hehehehe.. you should put that in her card. "I was going to get you a gift, but I knew that seeing me would be all the gift you need." or something.. lol!

It's the 11th this year
....

One of these years I'll get the right date. Maybe next year. At least I got the right weekend this year. I wished her a happy mother's day a weekend early last year but I DID get the right month.

So I figure I got the right month last year, the right weekend this year, and next year I might just get the right day.

Course it'll probably be canceled that year or something and then I have to start over again.

See, if you were a Mac user, you'd've known that . . . .
I actually do have a calender on my desktop but I only glance at it and got the 10th stuck in my head some how.

Oh snap, I think I just got an idea.

Anyone know what the song is that goes 'swing low, sweet chariot, momma's gonna carry you home' or something along those lines? My mom always sung me to sleep with that song and would bounce me on her knee and stuff to it. I figure i could play that on my ocarina or guitar or something for her if I can figure out the tune. Just need to know what it's called.

Well that's easy enough. I'm pretty sure it's a hymn too so sheet music should be easy to find.

Apparently it's a song African American's sung while reaping cotton.

Interesting choice for a lullaby (especially considering we're white). Nice song though.

It's always an important day for me with my Mom gone ....and the 11th would have been my Dad's 108th birthday ..... Lord where has the time gone !!! I miss them both so !! Mom was 94 , but Dad only 79 ..... seems like yesterday ! Enjoy your folks , my friends .... you may not be close now , but in times you'll wish that you could talk to them .

It would be easier if i wasn't so far away from my mum. I know the stuff she's into.. she's a MAJOR tomboy... always has been, literally, every holiday she can be found in the ER with an injury from working outside on something...

I wanted to get her something Harley Davidson Related, as she just got her Motorcycle license... but i couldn't find anything that would suit her without knowing her sizes... and it's hard to ask about stuff without her saying "don't buy me anything.."

She loves working in the garage with her boyfriend, and helping to tear cars apart at the dump where he works.. and she has two big labbies... aside from tools, which her boyfriend got her for her birthday, i couldn't figure a thing out..

so i ordered her Duma Key -Stephen king, book... she's a King fan so i figured she'd like to relax and read it... mind you she's one of those freaky, can read a 5 inch thick book in under 3 hours... but she likes that kind of thing.. maybe she'll enjoy it longer than she usually does...

Oh that's an easy one.

Get her a bell. It's a motorcycle legend I reckon you'd call it. Little invisible gremlins build up over time on your motorcycle and make parts not work or make them fall off or fail or what have you. The bell scares them off but it only works if someone gives one to you.

It's just a way of someone telling another person to be safe out there and give them a gift for their bike.

And proof so ya'll don't think I'm crazy. They even sell the bells in some HD stores with the HD logo on it if you wanna shell out the money for it.
