Why would any man who already has a "fix" care about dancing? The only reason I learned was to increase my take home percentage when I was single.

And where might we find these mythical men?
Well, Dave, for one.

Me..

Pretty much 80% or so of men out there will go "Dancing? Not while sober..." and the reasoning is: We know we look foolish doing it, and we're just not gonna do it.

However, drunk dancing makes for entertaining films come monday morning.

Keith and I danced every week before we got married. After marriage, he seemed to acquire a pain in his hip that wouldn't allow him to dance anymore.
However, there have been a few times we have danced since then, but it seemed to require much alcohol and other drunk male friends to get him out there. Amazing how the pain in his hip seemed to have disappeared those times. The problem with him is, if he has had tooooooo much alcohol he starts doing these really fast spins, and if he is fast dancing, he has a tendency to bend down close to the floor and stick his butt out and wiggles it really fast. So embarrassing. I encourage him to dance with anyone but me during these times.
While we were on our honeymoon the resort had a special night for all of the honeymoon couples. One of the events of the evening was dancing to find out who was the most romantic couple. My husband was wasted. While we were dancing I had to hold him up, he was leaning on me, and decided to have roaming hands. I had only had a couple of drinks so I found this to be rather annoying so I was steadily bitching about those hands and trying to get him to dance on his own two feet instead of mine. We won the most romantic couple award. A huge bottle of Tia Maria. I knew then, my dancing days were going few and far between.

Sorry Renee, I really did want to meet. It seemed there wasn't enough time to get away and do anything else. I will be going down next month. Still many loose ends that need to be taken care of. Hopefully we can meet then.
Thanks Debi, I had a very nice visit with my parents. A few days were very stressfull, but mom and I managed to get in one day of shopping. Mom and I made the funeral arrangements so that is taken care of in advance. That was rough.

LOL!! I don't get it - if I were a guy, I'd much prefer to look like an idiot when I was sober than when I was drunk....then I wouldn't look like a COMPLETE idiot.

It was the alcohol numbing the pain. :D

This proves that my refusal to dance is in the best interest of LorriF - and specifically, NOT embarassing her ;)

.......you raise an interesting point. However, alcohol is the ultimate scape-goat. How often have we all heard "I was too drunk to remember doing that!"?

I've tried and tried....and just can't get a handle on what happened with the fridge door...or near the fridge door...or with the fridge door. I've had some totally wacky scenerios floating thru my brain.....I keep coming back to the table. oh...wait....that's another story....and it was us....nevermind. :)

geez, I hope you didn't get hit with the fridge door. (don't you just hate when that happens?)
