Well, let me say that the puppy is just too freaking cute. And being a boxer lover myself..let me just say a couple of things....
First...it would not surprise me one bit to find that this puppy is not actually part of the litter that you saw him with. He is bigger and more defined than most boxers at that age. I don't know about mixed, he looks pretty much boxer to me....of course it's always possible he had a different sire...one that was mixed himself, or just bigger than the others. Many momma dogs accept pups(kittens, rabbits..) that are not their own.
Secondly, for anyone who really wants to know more about the boxer, you can check out any of the boxer forums on line.

I've gotten both my dogs at 7 weeks and my gf got her mali at 5 weeks and her gsd at 7 weeks -- no problems with any of the dogs; bite inhibition is not difficult to train and if you have good older dogs then they can be used for the socialization aspect - maybe better than a litter of hoodlum pups -- I would be very hesitant ever getting a pup older than 8 weeks; I've now met 6; 3 different breeds - environmentally unsound and that's with a crapload of socialization after the 9/10/11 week mark. I want that puppy in my hands to mould my way asap.

Age/size -- Is it possible that bitches can produce pups at different ages in the same litter, depending on how long they ovulate; Kenai could have been one of the first ova(um) to be fertilized and the runt could have been the last.
Did anyone notice if Kenai is the only pup with no white on his nose -- the rest all looked like they had white noses.

Smkie;I'm sure it does happen that way, it accounts for the difference in size of grown dogs from the same litter as well.
As far as not knowing how teenagers are...well, I do have 3 kids, 30,29, and 18, have raised 50 others,and I teach in an inner city middle school (grades 6,7,and 8) I know teens pretty well. But I'm a bit old fashioned I guess, and still find the avatar and siggy appalling and am surprised it's been allowed on the forum.

Yes... I did notice that. To me, he looks Pittie x Boxer, or way out of standard Boxer. Adorable nonetheless!!! But, judging by the one adult Boxer on site, who is also way out of standard, I don't know.
I also noticed no pictures of the Mom, besides her puppies nursing from her. And she looks VERY black - not reverse brindle, black. Of course, she might show signs of the brindling elsewhere that isn't shown in the pictures. I do find it odd that no pictures of Mom's head are included. Honestly, I would not give away puppies who haven't been weaned ever! Mom knows best when it's time to wean.

You would expect more from me when you don't even know what was said by me? To be completely honest, I didn't even want this puppy, not even for a fraction of a second did I want this puppy. Quite frankly, I wanted a pit bull, I didn't want ANY other dog, ANY other age, ANY other breed, I wanted a PIT BULL, I didn't want a Boxer, and I especially didn't want a black or white Boxer because if we DID end up getting a Boxer I wanted to be able to show it and train it. To be completely honest, my mom did drive 9 hours round trip to pay $750 for a puppy from a mother who the breeder admitted and SAID herself was from a puppy mill and who her son brought home after finding her in a rabbit pen with her ear frost bitten to the side of the cage with tons of puppies. I told my mom there was no such thing as a black Boxer, that we should NOT be getting a puppy from a mother who was from the puppy mill since that says all kinds of health and behavior problems right there, and we should not be promoting that type of backyard breeding or putting ourselves in the position of getting a puppy like that, and we should get a puppy from the pound since there are hundreds out there. I showed her Petfinder and directed her towards quite a few rescue sites. My mom's response was that the mother didn't have any health problems yet and the puppy was cute so she wanted to get it. Was there ANY way to get her to change her opinion after she'd found her "dream male black and white Boxer dog she'd been looking for all over for 2 years". I think not.

My avatar is of my brother flipping off the camera, and that is indeed, my favorite picture in the world. Not that my signature or avatar have to do with ANYTHING, and I'm not sure why that was brought up in this thread, LOL.

I am personally very suspicious of teenagers who swear and like rap lyrics. You never know when their mothers might go get boxers from BYB's, thus confirming that the teen was indeed corrupt.

Jack was taken from his litter at 10 weeks and has a fantastic temperament. Patient with obnoxious kids and other dogs, social with everyone he comes across, in love with our vet despite health issues he has had, and we had hardly any of the bite inhibition issues most people seem to have with pups. Labs are typically pretty mouthy and he actually only play bit us a few times before he understood not to.
