We drove 4 hours out to pick up our little reverse brindle seal Boxer. He is only 5.5 weeks old, the breeder insisted we take him now and my mom agreed. He is very independent, and doesn't seem home sick at all, he is doing very well and eating and pottying outside. He is very playful, energetic, and yet he is quite the cuddle bug. I took around 95 pictures at the breeder's house, so please wait until I am done posting them all. He has 3 brindle siblings and 3 reverse brindle seal siblings. The fawn Boxer with a half white face has no relation to the puppies, she was a rescue.

I introduce to you...

He's fantastically cute, but that was really early. In some areas it isn't even legal to sell pups that early.

Please enjoy your pup, but also read up on the extra socialization needed when a pup isn't with their littermates and mother for the recommended length of time.

He's definitely a cutie though

He's adorable!

But you do realize that most of us are freaking out about his age, right? I would've suggested waiting another THREE to FIVE weeks before bringing him home, and believe me those few weeks makes a HUGE difference. Just look how far your puppy's come in the first five weeks!

Good luck, hope he stays healthy and you're all happy!

He is cute, but there is no way in hell I would ever get a pup from a breeder too lazy or too profit-hungry to raise a litter all the way until a whopping 8 weeks of age. That speaks volumes about that breeder and it's not one I would ever sign over my good name and reputation to. JMO

He's cute... I never would have guessed he's that young. Juno looked a lot more fragile and alien-like at even 8 weeks old. =P

Awwwww. Good luck with him that young. I got Nikki at that age and she worked out okay. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, though. Lots and lots of socialization and training bite inhibition.

Congrats on the puppy! hes really cute and squishhyyy lol

as for the age thing, i fostered a litter for the shelter and they did learn alot in those 5-10 week period but I also think with a lot of work, thats stuff that can be taught, its just not as easy as letting them learn with their mom/littermates. ive seen puppies taken at 5 weeks turn out totally normal.. but without the extra extra time and effort I have also seen dogs that really are just terrors and impossible to live with

goodluck on the new addition!
