No...I take no pleasure at all in having to physically correct a dog. But I do know that that is what the dog needs. It is like a father who takes no pleasure in spanking his son: but his love for his son compels him to do what his son needs.
I was, and I still am, a K-9 officer who does work for many clients and city agencies. For security reasons I cannot tell who they are, but when I went to Petsmart it was on a dare from other police K-9 trainers to see how long I could last there. And I made the Petsmart store on Hurstbourne lane in Louisville Kentucky the most successful store in their history USING MY METHODS for 6 months until they vice-president found out and fired me.
The highlight of my dog training career: being fired from Petsmart. But the hundreds of HAPPY people I trained then begged me to open my own place...so I did. And Richling K-9 was born. Never have I been so busy with civilians as I am now training their pooches!
