I used to say I preferred females, but now I definitely say males. My next dog will be a male. Preferably one just like Delgado. I know it's a HUGE generalization, but the females I know are moody and cranky and temperamental, whereas the males are more likely to let things slide and not need to control everything. But who knows, it really depends on the individual.

I've never owned anything but females, but for a long time I always thought I wanted boys, boys, boys. And they have a lot of pluses - they're sweet, more tolerant, less independent, no heat cycles, and they get lots of pretty muscles.

That said, now I have two bitches, and I love them. :D They are evil and it's great. I feel a kindred spirit in them when they're pissy, and I love how wicked and clever they can be. But I hope for the sake of the world that Keeva and I never have PMS at the same time, or heads will be rolling left and right.:rofl1:

I had always prefered males (although always had both sexes at the same time) until I got Maddy, now I have two girls, and I seriously think I prefer females now.

It doesn't really matter to me, really. :) I don't prefer one over the other the personaltiy and temperament of the dog is what matters to me. :) however with cats I prefer males since my female is such a bitch LOL.

If you'd have asked me a year ago, I'd have said males, but I ended up with Elsie, and she's 100% everything I was looking for in a dog. So now I'd have to say I don't have a preference.

FEMALES all the way.

I like their snarky, Beeotchy I own the the world and everyone in it attitudes. If I could I would always own females, unfortunalty owning terriers and my next dogs gonna be a molloser the next pups gonna have to me a male. I've accepted that though ha ha

I like either, really. When we got Quinn I was open to a male or female - Dally is fine with both (that she's been raised with). We picked Quinn because she was best suited to us. My next dog will be a male for sure - 3 bitches would be just crazy, especially with Quinn. I'm not looking forward to trying to find a small, drivey male ES with not a lot of coat though. Gonna be hard.

Probably males, more goofy and easygoing in my opinion. Females tend to be bitchy and moody lol. That being said, my 2 favorite dogs Nia and Truffles are both females.

I think when I own multiples it'll always be a mix of males and females. I love females because they have more belly space to rub LOL

These two are backwards. Ruby is the goof while Buster is the borderline neurotic and moody bitch. The personality is so variable that while I'll tend to like the maler personality, I'd probably choose based predicted size and whether or not heat cycles are a good thing.

I voted that I don't have a preference. But in reality it seems like I have a preference for females even though I really don't know why. I'm just drawn to them. Seems like all my dogs have been females with only a few exceptions. I think my next dog will be a male though, because I want to see what I'm missing out on. ;) Girls can be bitches. In Chloe's case, I love when she's a bitch. It makes me laugh because she's so freaking sweet that it doesn't matter. In Violet's case it can be really frustrating but I love her anyway. XD

I like the boys better, though Sawyer is the first male I've had. Every other dog has been a female and they've got their appeal, but I just like the males more. Or at least in Aussies.

Boy dogs are more fun and consistent. I relate better to girl dogs. :p

I prefer males all the way. In my experience though, Ozzy is bitchier, meaner, and more nasty than Enzo. Enzo is the goof, but she is incredibly clingy and more inclined to SA, especially at work.

Simon is a goof though. Not an airhead, he's very very smart, but he just doesn't seem to care a whole lot.

Romeo is your typical boy and I love him for it. He's a ham, he's cuddly and just a floppy mess lol

I tend to click better with female dogs though. It's less of an obvious "OMG THEY ARE SO CUTE!" but I notice I get closer personal/ we suit eachother more

Males are, and will always be my favorite, they are more laid back and have a more consistent personality. Females, are moodier and can be pure b!tches at times.

Males, always. My boys have always been sucks and more velcro like than the females. I have definite preference for male collies though, my next will be a male without a doubt. I have really only had females when we had males that where picky about their housemates although I would certainly take the right female but she would have to be pretty good to sway me.

I've always had boys, so I gravitate a bit more toward them. Kaylee was definitely a little moodier, a little bit more independent, but I don't know how much was because she was female, or if it was just her personality. Amber, who I fostered for a friend for several months, was far more cuddly. Neither of them really hit the total, utter devotion Rowan shows, though. I've always liked the quote "Females love you, males are IN love with you." :p That's been my (limited) experience so far.
