ok, last question. I pulled out my iron today......it had cobwebs all over it......and is an antique, I believe. BUT..like new, all shiney. so, NO...as a general rule...I DO NOT iron. yet my neighbor is the last of a dying breed...she even irons pillowcases and boxers.

but, I still prefer hanging wash out on the line in summer....so I haven't totally flunked out of wifey 101

Yup, I iron. I have to dress is business attire, so it's a necessity. Sometimes I actually take a little pleasure in it. At other times, I want to drop kick that @%!$ iron out the window.

I iron my bedsheets. It's just a weird obsession of mine, the fitted sheet on my bed has to be just so. All the other blankets can be in a huge twisted lump and I don't care, but that one sheet has to be smooth.

I am saving your post and showing my husband. He thinks I've got some weird obsessive compulsive thing going with the sheets. I don't iron them, but get them out of the dryer before it stops, then put them on with sheet clips. I HATE sleeping on wrinkles and there's nothing worse than sitting up to read a book and sliding down because the sheet won't stay put.

But I do have an iron. It's never gotten past room temperature and I keep it beside my bed in case somebody breaks in. :D

I sure don't iron like I used to !! I do have guest sheets and pillow cases that I iron ... and some cotton short and slacks. I had almost 45 years of ironing 6 men's dress shirts and 7 sport shirts a week....also cotton boxer shorts...plus the kids clothes and mine if I got to it !!! I got ironed out !

Nope, I don't iron. I used to iron before Emily and the pets but now I just don't have time. I just throw stuff in the dryer for a couple minutes and it's usually good enough for the likes of my family.

plus what's the use of ironing. It doesn't make my clothes look any better because I still have dog hair all over them:D .

I do, but I'm not very good at it, usually end up with more creases then I started with. If I'm very lucky and I need something pressed well my husband will do it, he spent some time in the army so he does it properly. I perfer to sleep on ironed sheets, but sometimes it is just too much effort!

Errr, I generally don't, but there are occasions that require a outing of the Iron! Like for example, mens shirts!! They just look wrong if wrinkly!!! :D

Generally, no, I don't iron. Only if its absolutely necessary. I find the 'hang in bathroom while taking a shower' works for me most of the time.

LOL, isn't that the truth!

I used to iron everything...now, I can't stand ironing and don't do anything unless absolutley necessary.:)

Dreeza, your comment on Downy wrinkle releaser made me laugh. I had to take a public speaking class in college and we had to do a demonstration of a product in front of the class. So, I was going to do it on the wrinkle releaser. I took a damp t-shirt and I balled it up and put it under a mattress for like a week, and when I took it out, it was disgustingly wrinkled. And I used the wrinkle releaser, and it kinda didn't really work! LOL At least I ended up getting an A on the presentation!

Hehehehe I iron every Sunday while watching Lifetime movies. I dont iron my bedsheets, but my pillowcases I do and my tablecloths and yes my pj bottoms and tops to. Sadly I must say I am neurotic when it come to ironing, drives my household nuts, but not when they have nice crisp clothes to wear. :)

I iron the girls' cotton dresses when they need it, but that's about it. Oh, and tablecloths on the RARE occasion that I actually put one on the table LOL (it's not feasible to do that with 4 kids under 2 here during the week!).

If Andrew wants something ironed, he does it himself :)
