So tomorrow, Ares and Nyx are off to see the veterinary behaviorist.

I could use some vibes for them to travel well and not be complete asshats in the waiting room. Hopefully I can get them both there and back without a fight.

Nyx will be crated in the car. Ares will probably be loose, depends on how his crate fits - Nyx's takes up most of the back of the car so I don't know if there's room for another crate. Either way, I can get Ares' crate to go with me ~ it just might need to be in there in a way that he can't ride in it ~ and he'll be crated in the waiting room. (I am not dragging the big crate inside.)

Add to the ordeal the fact that it's going to be over 90 degrees. Then again, a little heat stroke might do wonders to curb aggression. ;)

So...don't need your vibes tonight...just send some our way tomorrow if you can. Thanks!

Our dogs at work are always a lot more laid back when it's 90+ degrees out, it's actually rather nice. Course on the other hand, they're much less motivated to train.

And anyway, you don't want them to be perfect angels at the behaviorist's, or else he/she will think you're exaggerating. ;)

Is it OK if I send vibes both days? It would be wonderful if this behaviorist had a few answers and maybe some sensible, useful suggestions!

:rofl1:

I figure the building will probably be air conditioned. Which will allow them to rejuvenate themselves. The heat will just be useful for the trip to and from the vet. :p And I'm hoping he has enough knowledge/sensibility to not set them up to actually engage in a fight in front of him.

Absolutely. :)

The only reason I posted a day early is in case I don't get on here tomorrow morning. Depends what time I drag myself out of bed.

Good vibes from us too - paws and toes crossed for a good set of suggestions!

If you don't mind me asking, which vet behaviorist are you going to? I know there's one in Greensboro and if that's who you're going to, I'll be even more interested to see how it goes as I'm hoping to develop a working relationship with him once I move.
