Like if someone spells favorite, "faverit", it'll bug me a bit lol.
I still find it weird seeing it spelled that way. In Canada we use a "u" so it's "favourite" to us! Same with colour.

The only thing that really annoys me is when people type like this: "neway, wut r u doin?" :)
I admit I do spell this way when I'm sending a text message from my phone (which I do alot!) it just makes it faster.

It drives me insane with all the slang and mis spelled words in regards to my 16 year old daughter. She sounds so un educated when she does it. I correct her every single time I hear or see it and she gets sooo frustrated with me.

I am definately not the best speller, and I too get lazy with my punctuation and capitalizing when I should. But I try not to come across as someone who doesn't know how to speak or write.

I am like most here on this forum... doesn't bother me too much at all if the spelling is at least close. I would never correct anyone here on this forum because I would not feel comfortable doing so... my daughter or my husband is a totally different story...lol

The other thing that bugs the crap out of me is when people say things that make them really sound dumb (please don't take it personal if you say things like this) "I'll call you when I gets to the house" or "I don't care to take them home" Stuff like that drives me real crazy.

Oh. forgot to add something... I Really Hate It When People Use A Capital Letter At Every Word. Or people who don't know how to use paragraphs.

One or two misspelled words won't really bother me. Everyone makes mistakes. But if there are tons of misspelled words, bad grammar, and poor punctuation, that bothers me. It's too hard to read!

Really, it only bothers me when I spell something wrong. I do notice other peoples errors, but I certainly make them myself so I can hardly gripe about others.
I wrote a rather lengthy article for Citizen Pet Mag., I write a column for them every issue. When the issue came out I noticed a glaring error that I was sure was the fault of the editor...it wasn't. It was all me:eek: and even though I proofed that article over and over before submission, there it sat for everyone to read. It still makes my stomach ache when I think of it.

Now I make my poor mom proof all of my articles before they're sent.;) ..even though I'm 45 years old, my moms grammer and spelling is far better than my own. Like many folks of her generation, her abilities in that department rival any spell/grammer check computer program.
