Well, it's been just over one month with Jake and I've learned a few things about altering your life to fit a dog in.
1) Cat's will generally tolerate a dog until a clump of fur is removed from the cat's behind by said dog.
2) Never let your new dog sleep on you if you're in the process of changing their food from one brand to another
3) Never press the couch against the crate and think 'he can't get his mouth through the crate'.
4) Couch repairs are expensive.
5) Make sure you have a good hold on your dog's leash when you go to stoop and scoop.
6) After a bath, dogs will generally wait until they can get real close to you before they 'shimmy' the excess water off their fur.
7) Dogs dry faster than jeans
8) It matters not what room you may be hiding in....your puppy will know exactly where you are when you attempt to tie your shoes without help.
9) Always have spare shoe-laces hidden somewhere....you WILL need them.
10) My dog is burr resistant. My gloves are burr-attractants!
