Love it! That looks awesome! Love that you used your father's handwriting, too. Wonderful idea. :)

I love it!!! Was it hard to sit for your first?
It was an ambitious first tattoo for sure. It didn't really start to hurt until the 3rd or 4th hour, and really it was mostly just that it was rubbed raw (the actual needle wasn't bad except over the spine). I took maybe three short breaks? There were definitely parts of it that were really, really trying, but I am so happy I did it!

Wow!!
Definitely ambitious for a first tattoo! Mine was a tiny thing on my foot lol.

Looks great!

Lol I am pretty pain tolerant but I don't think that, even after having two done that I could sit for one there kudos to you! also agreed on the rubbed part, everyone told me that it would be the outline that hit the most but it wasn't, it was the shading.

I hope you have the "ink" big and this is the first of many more to come :D

That looks awesome!!! You should post another pic when it's healed. I think the only tattoo I didn't sit for in one sitting was my chest piece. All my others have been done in one sitting and people think I'm nuts lol. Once you get in a zone it's really not unbearable though.

I love it!
I'm more of a pussy about pain then I thought I would be. I planned to originally do both my feet in one sitting but I ended up doing them one at a time. 2.5 hours sitting there sweating was enough. And I remember by the end physically pressing down on my knee to keep myself from pulling my foot back. The second foot, not nearly as bad. I had them touched up 3 days ago, just to bring back the colour a bit and holy god! All crap all over again. lol

Very cool though, I'd love a crow somewhere at some point.

I was way worse than I expected! I have a generally moderate pain tolerance, but by the end I was shaking so hard (though I was proud of myself for not crying haha)! I do have to say I'm already dreading getting it touched up (I have an appointment next month just to clean it up). But it was/is totally worth it!!!

Amazing tattoo!

I really really really want one. I just have this never ending cycle of what do I want and where do I want it.

Think I just need to walk into a tattoo studio and talk to them.

I love it, I think it's fantastic!

I am itching to get new ink. I have two pieces that I *really* want. I have a small, delicate quote that I want on the inside of my wrist. And then I want a big dragon that wraps around my body...

That is awesome! :D I love it!
I want a portrait of Millie, lyrics, and a lotus. I backed away from the lotus for a while because it's so common, but hey, it's got a deep meaning for me, so who cares?
I've got a very high pain tolerance, so I'm not worried about the pain sitting there, but I really can't sit still for long without getting super jittery.

Same here ... I was more worried about the sitting then the pain lol.

It's beautiful! How long does it hurt for? And does feel like a burn or a sunburn or something? I just need a reference lol!

The ones on my forearm felt like a bad sunburn for about 2 days then nothing, just healing and itching.
The one on my upper arm just felt like a wound, and it hurt for something like 4 or 5 days, enough that I couldn't extend my arm above my head. Which surprised me, but I know with that one she said she went in a bit deeper with the ink because we have had issues getting my skin to hold colour.

Different for everyone though I image.
