Mmmmmmm...

You can get a low fat dessert in Marks and Spencers (shop - NICE food). It is chocolate muffin, with chocolate moose and chocolate custard, and chocolate shavings.........

Oh my god - gorgeous, low fat and not too sickly (believe it or not!)!

Why not cheese cake?

Something interesting, but not cheesecake, is this:

Required stuff, in no particular order:

1tsp coffee grounds
6oz hershey's syrup
24 crushed oreo cookies
6 bricks philly cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1oz vanilla extract
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

First, bring the cream cheese to room temp...you can just set them out for an hour or so...then hit them with an electric mixer, working in the whipping cream, vanilla, sugar, coffee and syrup.

In another mixing bowl, dump the 1/4 cup whipping cream and oreo cookies in and mix thoroughly. I use a 12"X3" spring form pan...but whatever you got will work...line the bottom of it with the oreo mix.

Pour cream cheese concoction on top of the oreo mix. Refridgerate until firm...or pop in the freezer if you need it done quicker.

I'm not sure what to call this yet...recipe of my own creation. Very rich and it keeps really well (over a week refridgerated). Anyone want to suggest names?

All of the above sounds fabulous!

Makenzie, I'm just not in the mood for cheese cake. Something with the consistency of that recipe you posted is kinda what I'm thinkin'.

Chocolate cream pie, or German chocolate cake, or lemon meringue pie.

Don't have any of these... so it's back to my tuna fish sandwich for breakfast.

Steffibeans wants German chocolate cake for her birthday (2 weeks from now). yeah.....a couple weeks ago I made a cake for lil Dave's birthday. THEY DON'T EAT CAKE. none of them...Steffi, Dave, Stu. (it's not just us that thinks sugar is evil) I guess they just want the 'backdrop' of birthday 'stuff'. sooooooo, Steffibeans says German chocolate...I'm saying OK, but I'm taking a little cube to pop the candles in..and the rest is staying in my freezer. someday I will eat it.......evil sugar and all. HAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (evil mom laugh) like having a little 'cushion' of happiness hidden somewhere. :D

Oooh! Another Tiramisu fan here!

My family is Italian, so I was pretty much raised on it- I'm hard-pressed to order any other dessert at an Italian restaurant.

Although I once had a lemon sorbet covered with strawberries macerated in mint sauce...pretty much to die for!
