Way to go. She's just a beautiful baby with that pretty round head! If you ever want to see a picture of a baby with a MAJOR cone head at birth, just ask ;)

Glad to hear nursing is going well. Keep it up and have faith in yourself!

Awww she's soooo gorgeous!!!!

Enjoy your little one, they sure do grow fast.

ABout the public Health... we have that in my area too. The same nurse has been coming to my house every other week for 18 months and I feel like she's family.

The dogs (and cats) are mostly just curious. They are pretty good. We don't really let them get that close. Just some supervised sniffs and whatnot. Nanook is calming down thankfully.

My 1st Grandboy Ian was a REAL cone head ..... DIL went to a birthing center and when he didn't come , they rushed her to hospital . He was crowning and they used the suction on his head to pull him out !

She's not bad I guess. She has to get up to feed every three or four hours at night which is no problem. She always gets up. She's not much of a crier - yet? lol But I hear her.

She's absolutely the prettiest baby girl I've seen in a long, long time. Just beautiful! Keep the pictures coming. You're doing such a great thing by letting the dogs gradually get use to her. Precious!

I don't think they can demand feed during the first few weeks grammy. That's what I've been told and read anyway which is why I have to make sure she feeds at least every 3 or 4 hours so she doesn't get dehydrated and lethargic. Which she's not! lol

I'm ok Dena. Had a few weepy moments. I need to nap more.

I had those to Shara...especially as it would get to be evening time. I always thought it was because I needed sleep. Jaime was a horrible sleeper....pretty much didn't sleep at night at all. I couldn't relax after I had her either...I was a freak!!! When she'd let out a peep I would be right up...even when she was sleeping, I was worried that she was too cold...too hot...wet diaper!! I was insane!!! I was much better with Brandon.

I've been catching up on sleep but still need some more. I don't know. I wake up a lot too. Mostly because I want to make sure she's getting enough to eat and that she feeds when she's ready. She doesn't cry when she's hungry at all. Just smacks her lips which is how it should be. I figure if she has to resort to crying I'm not paying that much attention! lol

Congratulations on Fiona, she is a precious one! The time surely flies by, Our Cadie is one year old already. Both of mine were c sections, for some reason James and I make huge babies:D I was in labor with Maggie for 17 hours, so she had a cone head, but Cadie was scheduled so perfectly round. Cadie was also on oxygen after birth didn't phase her a bit. Watch that lifting though, no more of Fiona in the carseat. I lifted Maggie alot in hers ( because I also didn't realize I wasn't supposed to) and my c section became infected. But they say that is fairly common in women who have long labors before their sections. Sounds like ya'll are on a roll with the breast feeding keep up the good work! When Cadie was born they told me it was ok for her to skip one feeding at night if she would, which she did occasionally. So once in awhile I got a 6 hour stretch of sleep. Everyone tells you sleep when the baby sleeps. I always wanted to be up doing something, take my advice and don't be the way I was. Catch the sleep when you can!

According to the lactation consultant that taught my breast feeding class..... if the baby will sleep for 6 hours at night.... don't wake them if you don't have to.... but sometimes you will be so engorged you HAVE to feed.

Yeah, I became engorged with both of mine. Nothing worse than boobs that feel like hot bumpy rocks and the pain! Then you pump just enough so that the baby will nurse (when they're that full the baby won't latch on) and freeze that milk for later on.

Breastfeeding a newborn every 3-4 hours? I fed my daughter every 2 hours even through the night and I'll tell you, I had enough milk for triplets!! :yikes: It's supply and demand...the more they suck, the more you make, LOL!!!:) :D
