So we went to see them today... they're so tiny and adorable :D We're in love... They're going to stay there a while because they're too small, so we have to drive 4 hours a day to go see them but we don't care lol (although we don't have much time left to prepare everything).

I'll wait before the birthparents rights are officially terminated in a couple days before posting pictures :D But we got some ;)
I can't imagine just how happy you must be feeling right this moment!

I keep thinking about you Fran. I'm so excited. And it just must be mind blowing. One day you are just going about your usual stuff and then BOOM you're a mom!!! At least I had nine months to prepare!!!

Everyone is different, but when my mom was on the waiting list she got so tired that she quit her job and started setting up the nursery  Even though it could have been years! I came home within a year though lol.

I know you're going to be so busy, so take your time getting ready and enjoy every minute. Maybe start a journal about it?

more (((hugs)))

Well I don't know for sure about NJ... but here in PA anything under 6 lbs is considered underweight. But I know with the premie that was next to hannah it was only based on his food intake. When he consistently starting taking a certain amount from a bottle in each feeding he was OK'd to go home.

With premies it's often on an individual basis. Josie was born 6 weeks early at 6 lbs 1 oz but still had to spend over a month in the hospital until she could do most everything normally.

I missed it, but were they premature? I've spent quite a time in the premie nursery when Jo was born.

They were born at 36 weeks, so not too bad. Mostly small because they were twins, everything else is fine. I'm sure they're going to stay there at least another week though, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was more.

I believe that is technically premature so they may only have to stay until they feed consistently ... did they say what it was based on?

A week isn't long at all. you'll have your babies home in no time. But I'm sure a day seems like a week for you.
