OMG, I read what they had listed for the JRT/PRT. About HALF right and that is generous..........good grief, deep chests????? no shedding??? and lists the smooth coat only for coat type (but then states about Rough later), and get this LOW for aggression :rofl1::rofl1::rofl1: And absolutely nothing about the Jrt/Prt needing to have a flexible, spannable chest which is THE most important part of their conformation.

Anyone else look at their breed standard? How bad was it??

Says I should have a golden retreiver. A breed I dont ever want to own lol.

It says show less suitable dog breeds. I guess I better find a home for Blaze as rough collies are not suited to my lifestyle lol

Oh and they are highly agressive.

we should all write to the whack job who made this.

I got a few matches, but the thing is so stupid. It deleted more than half breeds after I selected that they will be around children. How stupid. Most breeds are good with children. I am sure pit bull was immediately taken off

The two that came up that I can see myself living with is boxer and bull mastiff.

Papillon profile is 'currently not available'. Neither is sheltie. Poo.

I can't think of any dogs that are home alone less than an hour a day every day. Okay, my elderly grandmother is home with her dogs almost every day all day, but she's not really that capable an owner.

The last breed I get if I fudge some answers, I get English Cocker Spaniel. They must be the easiest breed to care for. ;)

I was looking up past breeds we've had and thought this quote was kind of fun.

The colours the GSD comes in are are black, ash and iron gray with brown, yellow or light brown markings. Black is the most common major coat colour. White GSDs do occur but are not accepted in the show ring.

Mine;). It is very rare (maybe once or twice a month) that she is home alone. But I get that my situation is different than most.

I had Malinois and Huntaway until the second to last question (do you want a dog that is quiet or will bark), at which point both were deleted. And to be fair, I would strongly consider a Malinois if I didn't need a dog to be friendly to strangers walking in to the barn.

I got Belgian Malinois and Golden Retriever. I had 163 and it went down to like 30 something when I said I would train the dog.

Now that's a weird combo. Nothing at all in common other than size - and both have medium longish coats.

I got nada.

So . . . who wants to go tell Bimmer, Kharma and Tallulah that they got the wrong person? ;)

Same thing for me - 57 matches until I mention that I might actual leave the house without the dog! lol

So, with some faking, I was able to get 1 match:

Munsterlander (Large & Small)

Now, I'll just run to the local breeder and pick one up! Sounds like if you do luck into being chosen to have a dog, you only get rare breeds!

Edit - I just realized the site is from New Zealand (purina.com.nz) ?? Maybe that explains the breeds ...

I get Bracco. I even want a pointer and I don't want a Bracco. And goodness, the Munsterlanders aren't the same breed, even. They have different histories, they're just from the same place, and different sizes, hence the name. I don't recall seeing them grouped together before.
