I got nothing either.

Also... I had 52 selections then when I said the dog would be alone over 1 hour a day it went down to 2... so there are at least 50 breeds that fit my criteria but cant spend an hour alone per day? What is wrong with all these dogs that they CONSTANT supervision.

I only got two dogs: Bracco Italiano and Schnauzer Standard.

Two breeds I won't seek out.

If I would have put not interested in training you could add the Shar Pei to the list (that's a wtf moment).

That confused me SO much, lol. That has to be the most messed up breed selector ever. Apparently training your dog limits your choices. And very few breeds can be home alone an hour a day....

We're all bad dog owners. ;)

LMAO :rofl1:

apparently I cant have a dog with very heavy shedding either.. (even though that is perfectly fine with me) otherwise Im not suited to own a dog.. but if I can deal with moderate shedding I can

I ended up with

Bracco Italiano
Munsterlander (Large & Small)
Schnauzer Standard

Well, at least you got something. Apparently I'm too interested in training a dog to own one. I should just let it do whatever.

I got to the "How Long Will The Dog Be Alone" and then it said I had 7 matchs LOL!

OMG, I got to the question "Will you want to train the dog?" and I said "yes, very keen to" and I only had 2 breeds that matched that :rofl1: :rofl1:

Suppostly Purina says I should only have an English Cocker Spaniel. Haha.

I took the Purina breed selector many years ago. I don't remember what it gave me. But my dad took the breed selector, and it recommended a Sheltie. The sad part is, that dog is not suitable for him. (I get the feeling she's not a very well-bred Sheltie, so that may be why.)

ETA: I just ran through it, and got 5 results. But that was only after I changed my answer to the dog being alone for less than 30 minutes a day. That's technically true in my case (most of the time), but how unrealistic.

Apparently I should not own any type of dog either. I guess I will have to quit my job to provide around the clock care for my dogs. I hope I haven't done too much damage to them already by my keen interest in training them. Just for fun, I only answered the first question about how much exercise you can provide. If you say over 2 hours you have 163 choices, and if you say up to 40 minutes, it gives you only 53. Among the breeds listed for up to 40 minutes are Australian Cattle Dogs, Border Collies and Boxers. If you go look at the descriptions though, it says all of these dogs should have lots of exercise. Somebody messed up in how the selector works.

I'm really scratching my head over that "More than 1 hour" thing . . . I mean . . . how many dogs in the world are there that not regularly left alone for at least an hour?

Oh, no matches for me either!

Good thing I have a mutt!
