It's a slang term representing several breeds. If you'll note..they actually DIDN'T put it on their little list! Hey they got one thing right! :rofl1:
I'm glad you are able to joke about this... can someone please tell how in the world anyone who has a love for dogs can find this remotely funny??

A pit bull is a hole in the ground that's full of BS. Kinda like your argument, Kela.

This is an American Pit Bull Terrier. And ZOMG, dog balls! Watch out, he's going to kill you!
There's a big difference between posting an "official list of banned breeds" and using a term that commonly describes a group of breeds in a conversation. Next I suppose you'll be letting me know of a comma I missed somewhere?

Who said official?

ETA. You're not missing a comma. You're missing the point.

No, a hookey isn't a dangerous animal that should be leashed and sterilized.
If we're going to leash and sterilize dangerous animals, maybe you'd care to check the statistics for attacks on humans . . . by other humans. Go ahead. Compare dog bite stats from an entire year vs. human assaults for a single day . . .

Puts things in perspective.

No, BSL is just an excuse for politicians to - literally - scare up votes from people too stupid and fearful to think past being afraid of the dark.

Hey as long as people make it to the 1Xth page so that they can learn that this list is nothing but a made up bunch of hookey, that's cool too.
Actually it means truant. What exactly is a "false word?"
Should have said a word that was used falsely! Cuz apparently you were saying we made up a bunch of truancy!!! :rofl1::rofl1::rofl1: Definitely cool. Not sure what the 1Xth page is. Apparently, this thread is rolling in typos! :rofl1:

So the breed list is false because you say some of those breeds don't exist, yet your argument is valid because you use a slang term that could apply to all kinds of things. Did I get the main thrust of it?

If you want to talk about assumptions, go ahead and assume that all people who support BSL are stupid. You'd be incorrect. Both sides of the argument have a bunch of ignoramuses. Both sides also have people that know what they're talking about. A great deal of the debate comes down to personal opinions, and people can have either one without being liars.

No. You just told yourself what you wanted to hear.

You guys, I am having a blast. Nothing like a Tuesday night dog fight where the dogs are safe in their beds. LOL!
But they aren't safe! Men are coming to take them and kill them! Run! They banned the Farfinploogle in a small mountain town of Colorado...your dogs are next!

hookey

Hock"ey\, n. [From Hook, n.]

1. A game in which two parties of players, armed with sticks curved or hooked at the end, attempt to drive any small object (as a ball or a bit of wood) toward opposite goals.

2. The stick used by the players. [Written also hookey and hawkey.]

So this thread is about hockey!
