If possible, you might want to use two forms of containment (for ex., a door and a crate). Hearing about your two, I'll bet they get pretty creative when left alone together, so this way you could have a backup if one method failed.

Just put them away on the living room if you really want them to stay. And i think it's your fault so you are the one that has to be rehome.

You might try advertising on craigslist for a door of the right dimensions. We got one for free that way once.
