Proof that periods are contagious and that I am Alpha.

I just got done with mine. ;)

I was getting some stupid cramps this time around, but I wasn't on ANYTHING. Now I've got my female tonic back, this next one should be ok.

I no longer am getting mine but would gladly trade you all for my constant vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, severe abdominal pains etc.

If I hadn't decided to skip this month, I would be with you nolu. But I had my Alevels. So Math Exam + cramps and bloody messes= bad idea.

I love how BC lets me play god over my periods :p

oooh, Zoom, u mus' fite meh 4 teh alfa spot.
I got done this weekend. Sunday was my last day.

But I tell you, it was bad.
No BC here.
It doesn't agree with me. And I'm too scared of blood clots and strokes.
Anyway, I kept whining about an "off switch".
Why can't we have an off switch for our uterus??
I mean, WITHOUT having to take BC.
It's SO UNFAIR.
I'm not USING my uterus right now, so why must I be punished be monthly???

Mine showed up full force yesterday too Nolu.

On top of nursing a violently ill fiance and having to sleep on the couch, I was fighting through cramps.

DO NOT WANT.

Still not the worst birthday ever though ;)

My period has WONDERFUL timing.
EVERY single holiday or important date, my period is NEVER late for.
Heck, it sometimes shows up before I do!!!

I have had my period for EVERY holiday this year. EVERY holiday. Birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr.'s bday, President's Day, Columbus Day, Casimir Pulaski's Day, Halloween, Labor Day, Veteran's Day.
You name it, my period was present for it!
YAY!!!!!
I guess it just wants to be present for any possible celebration.

I hate my uterus.

I got mine on Sunday... Had horrible cramps for 5 days beforehand, and only today it's better... been taking 12 ibuprofens a day.

That, and having to change my pads twice a night the first two days before it's about to leak... that's with two of the largest Always infinity (which I like except they're too narrow).

Looking forward to menopause.

Oh I SO hear you Ladies! I have endometriosis and PCOS, in simple terms it means my cycle has a mind of its own and tries to murder me whenever it comes around. I really hope that I am in the camp that has an easier time after pregnancy...I am dreading its return.

Paige, how far along are you now? I was about 14 weeks along when I started to come around, hopefully you will too!

At the risk of being beat up,

I feel really lucky because my periods were never bad. Before I lost 23lbs, they used to come every three or four months, never could predict the day. Now they come every month, which I like, because know I know when they are going to come and I can prepare! I also feel better having my body more regulated like that. I never have bad cramping, just medium amounts of cramping, and my flow starts out kinda heavy the first night, and then tapers off. I am not on any BC.

The most annoying side effects from my period are sore breasts, insatiable hunger, and being ornery/emotional.

I send (((hugs))) and sympathy to all of you who have to suffer through terrible periods all the time. :(

Nolu, how do you like the Diva Cup? I've read the "instructions" and it seems kinda scary!

Oh, and I just got over my period yesterday. I had a long weekend, filled with LOTS of chocolate and heat pads.

I'm expecting mine this weekend. :( I get cramps in my hips which I always thought was really strange. Does anyone else get that? I get the sore breast thing too and I HATE it. It's almost worse than the cramps.

ugg mine is in full force and not liking me.

i have my tubes tied so no BC here , not that i could take it anyway , chris threw my last birthcontrol pack away about 4 years ago after i had raged/cried for 7 days. he could not handle my swinging moods. lol

before i had kids it would be 7 light bleeding days with minimual mood swings , now it is 5 days of heavy bleeding and a total _itch for 2 days before and after , my emotions are okay during , just not before or after lol

I used to average about 4 periods a year and never got cramps....unless I had a cyst that decided to rupture (and then I wished I could just lie there and die to escape the pain).

However, childbirth makes your following periods worse (fair? I think not!) and now I tend to get bad cramps and my periods are heavy.

Like most everyone, I despise pads as they are extremely yucky and just plain ewww. However, after having a baby, I have no choice but I would like to recommend the Always Infinity ones. They are super-thin and don't leak. And least you don't feel like you've got a twin-sized mattress strapped between your legs.

I hope you're in that camp, too. But as a fellow PCOS-er, my periods are much much much much much worse since having babies. :(

Mia I LOVE the infinity ones. Seriously, it feels dry, more comfortable and leaks are much rarer even for me. I just wish they made them wider. The price is a *itch but it's totally worth it for me at this point.
