Yeah, that is an emo song!
I guess my problem is unique isn't unique anymore- lol. It's become a fad. I must dress in X clothes and belong to X group. In high school every prep dressed the same and hung out together and all the goths dressed the same and hung out together. Honestly I didn't see much difference between the two groups- just people trying to fit in somewhere or make some sort of a statement. Don't get me wrong, I loved some of those people and generally hung out with more goths than preps, but I still don't see the point.
I am me and I will always be me, but me is not emo or some other group. I'm a bit more complex than that, I'd think.
College is so nice that way. I find generally speaking no one gives a **** how they're dressed when they go to class.
And speaking of dresscodes at school, they always annoyed me. My friend was a goth and liked to dress very... suggestively. She'd get busted all the time, but I knew a different girl that didn't dress goth but still dressed in clothes that showed as much and she'd never get in trouble. How's that fair?
