Every time I watch Extreme Makeover, Home Edition I get all teary eyed over what happened to the families involved and wish I was there to be involved on the remodel, and I HATE doing remodels. This week had the most moving rendition of Ava Maria I had ever heard.

The families involved on Extreme Makeover hit me that much more because of where I live I only have my mom and stepdad near by, the rest of the familly is seperated by another country. I love living out here closer to the rivers I love to be on, I know my mom misses me being closer to her home espesialy with her other son living in Chicago. Moms worked her ass off raising her 2 boys.

Ild go broke if I had a BBQ that big, the look on her face when she saw that grill brought a huge grin to my face.

That's a great show :). My Dad isn't much for crying (or at least he pretends not to be) but his eyes do get a little wet when he watches that show.

I don't think we get it here! :( What is it all about?
It's a show with a cute host, Ty, who runs around in a cute excited entertaining way. Generally this involves yelling, airhorns, more yelling into a video camera, and some megaphones. ( I think he is technically the General Contractor in charge. )

He shows the design team and construction crew building a new home for a very deserving family. They build this home in a matter of days. So there is a lot of drama, but it's generall happy drama, not as many arguments as other reality tv shows. This all happens while the family is wisked off to Disneyland, Atlantis, or Whister.

Very deserving family would be a single mom who runs a volunteer center for women going back to work, and her adopted child just got Cancer. Or, a family of 7 children who lost both parents in a freak accident. Etc.

So, they build them a house for free. They find sponsors to pay off mortgages and give checks so the family can pay taxes.

You would want to cry through the last 10 minutes of the show. They are so happy. Especially the little ones who get crazy theme rooms.

The familly last nights show had lost their mother and Im not sure if the father was a cop or a firefighter, Im sure there where other circumstances involved. The look on the youngest sons face when he saw his moms picture on the wall was really touching, the smile when he saw his room gave me a nice fuzzy feeling.

Link for the show.
