If you had all of the land you ever could want, all of the money you could ever need, and all of the time you wished...

what all breeds of dog would you own?
(oh and things like health issues and DA are not a problem becuase all of the dogs would get along, all magical and stuff, lol)

Also, what dog sports would you be involved with?

for me I would own
A few dobermans, probably 2 or 3 (at least one, if not all would be Bruda lines)
A Fila
A German shepard
a full black pittie (or maybe brindle)
a boxer
a few great danes (fawn with the black mask)
a chinese crested (they are such neat dogs)
a black standard poodle
a tree walking coonhound
oh and a Belgian Malinoise (did i butcher that spelling lol?)

thats all I can think of for now....

hahah with the exception of the crested, I think it's safe to say that I adore big dogs....

as for dog sports, I would do obedience with all of them probably, and conformation with the short-haired dogs (I would be to nervous to do it with the long haired ones, i dont think i could get the grooming just right)

LOL @ "all magical and stuff"

Aussies, Aussies and more Aussies.
Border Collies
Filas
Rottweilers
Great Danes
Dobermans
APBTs
A standard parti-colored "ponydoodle" ;)
Papillion
Cavalier

Herding, Rally, Agility, Carting and my very own amusing Dog Circus.

I've really got a thing for the BSL breeds, don't I?

Well, if it is a truly magical place, every single dog on Petfinder. That must be some crazy magic you've got access to!

My fantasy land:

I would have the most humongous house, and the danes (at least a dozen, right?) would live indoors with me.

I'd have cattle for the Filas (a couple) to work, and sheep for the Ovcharkas (another couple) to guard.

I'd also raise my own beef, chicken and pork and a magical fantasy guy named Lou would come do the slaughtering for me cuz I'm a big wuss about stuff like that.

And, since health problems are no concern-
Bullmastiff

~More Border Collies of course, probably around 10 or so. Probably all black and white rough coats with maybe a few smooth coats (Blaze's coat is really growing on me) and one or two Tri's.

~Newfoundland

~Dobie

~Fila, erm, make that two (to guard the sheep of course, because if it's all "magical" Sheep are included in mine ;))

~Aussie

~Papillion

~Great Dane

~Maremma Livestock Guardian Dogs (because for one, they ae gorgous, and two make great LG dogs, lol, can you tell yet I want stock bad?)

I can't think of any others right now....lots of breeds catch my eye but I'm not sure I'd want to own one.

Definitely Herding (I'd love someday make it too Bluegrass, Edgeworth, or Nationals). I'm not sure about anything else, maybe Obedience a bit.

Papillons everywhere...

At lest ONE of which would be a nice sable Phalene I imported from either Sweden, Finland, or Belgium...

Border collie or two- traditional black and white and maybe a split faced one like my friend has
Aussies- blue merle, maybe a Sawyer clone
A show sheltie that I could handle but make someone else groom- bi black preferred.
Ibizan hound- dark red smooth coat
Tervuren
Sable German Shepherd (I'm thinking DDR here)
A Doberman that doesn't punch me (xD) I was playing with a dobe the other day that seemed to think it was a boxer. Black and tan with a long show crop please.
Chinese Crested
Tibetan Spaniel :)

And if in this magical world there is no grooming involved and all breeders are reputable, then I'd like a Goldendoodle as well.

EDIT: And since it's magical, right? I'd do everything with everyone. Maybe even conformation show my Goldendoodle. that'd be interesting.

Shelties, of course, out the wazoo. Let's say four... my very own sheltie flyball team! Corgis. Papillons. A Boston Terrier, maybe a French Bulldog too.
I think that's all that I'm obsessed with enough to want to own. I don't know if I'm into bigger dogs these days, or I'd have collies and a terv too. I just really like the "smedium" guys.

I'd probably only be into confirmation with the shelties, but I'd do agility and/or flyball with any or all of them. =3 This weekend I saw a Frenchie do agility and it was great to watch!

I'll take one of TWP's house hippos :p
...and...
A curly coated PWD
A red merle aussie
A merle smooth collie
A fawn bearded collie
A merle cardigan welsh corgi
A fawn Berger Picard

And I would compete in herding (w/ herding breeds), water work (w/ PWD), agility, flyball, disc dog, tracking, and search and rescue.

K they get along all magical, do they stay out of trouble all magical?

If so, i'll take:

5 jack russels
2 border collies
3 aussies
a doberboy
A fila!
a couple greyhounds as interior design couch accessories
a standard poodle
a german shepherd
a couple of pitties
some hound dogs with big floppy ears (black and tan coonhounds, blue tick coonhounds, bloodhound....one of each)
a neo mastiff
an english mastiff
an american bulldog
a german shorthaired pointer
a boston terrier
a bullmastiff or two
a presa just like Grissom
a rhodesian rhidgeback
a great dane
a bernese mountain dog
a couple sibes
a couple malamutes
three labs (one of each)
a brittany
a rottie
a dalmation
a native american indian dog
a briard
an old english sheepdog
some goldens, maybe two or three
an irish setter

of course, the briard would have her own hairdresser...and we'd have a REALLY, REALLY big bed. A big trail going out back that it magically constantly snows on, but the rest of the farm is always nice and warm. We sled on the trail, and maybe skijour, but my legs magically never get broken.

We've also got a giantic pool and a pond with a big dock for dock jumping. a flock of sheep for my sheepdogs and some pretend intruders for my guard dogs to scare away....a go-to-ground tunnel surrounding the house for the JRTs....full size agility course, and maybe a lure course for my greys. And a ballroom dedicated to doggy-dancing. Magically, i've suddenly developed the ability to dance without looking like an epileptic fish. of course, my pits and maybe berners and such can do carting any time they want.

And of course, one of those ball machines that magically never runs out of balls. Or maybe i'll just teach the dogs to drop the balls back into the machine after the fetch. We will of course have hired personel who ever so often go missing and my puppers have got to find them. And some raccoon and squirrels to hunt, pidgeons to point, pheasants to set, ducks to retrieve, etc.

And Milo will have his own bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a disco ball so he can simultaneously make a huge mess in the bathroom and chase the little lights. The greyhounds will have a sunroom in which the floor is in fact a waterbed....or a swedish temperpedic mattress. Waterbeds are so 90s. The temperpedic mattress will of course be sectioned off and set individually to each dogs desired firmness.

And a huge sandbox. Full of mud. With cookies hidden in it.

This was super-fun. Now i've got to go play mario-kart.

(i know i mentioned a never-ending supply of balls and...firmness...and such....but remember kids, No Mind Soap Weekend is over)
