3 more hours til I can bring him home. DAng it was cold this morning. one hour heart attack at not being able to find his harness due to visitng children and furance installed. I have a crate now to bring him home in, but I was obtaining it on the way back, not the way there. Somehow he got out of th bedroom that had a locked door (was found open but still locked) when I came in from making sure the truck would start. Then came the worry that did he get the fastest drink in the west and meet me when I opened the door in all of about 3 minutes time? Will they still do it if there is a one tenth possibility he had a swallow of water? I have enough surgeries to know somewhere along the line someone had me swallow morning meds with water and they still did what they had planned to do, so I went anyway and they said he would be fine when I told them.

He may have still sparkled when I got him there despite a lot of brushing. He had found a small baggy I had about a half a cup of med flake mica in and carried it off my desk, gutted it, rolle in it, and came and found me saying "I am so pretty.." and he was. Like looking at new fallen snow. Still i thought it was not a good thing to have on you when your having a "procedure". I vacuumed him with the shop vac too. EVen so, everytime I looked at him, i saw another sparkle.

Feels funny without him here.

He's home, an he is HUNGRY and THIRSTY and not too bothered by it far as I can tell. I am happy. Victor was so sick and had such hives, you just never know. So good, all done, and I promised him he would never ever have to do THAT again. THey put his microchip in while he was out. So he is legal begal and up to date.

I had to look to see they really did something. You sure wouldn't know.:)

Yeah that's right, he means YOU. COME PLAY!

His first introduction to a paper grocery sack was a pary of fun all New Year's Eve. A bazillion pounces and perforations later I think his sack is sacked.
Little black rabbit was carried in, pounced on, tossed out and tossed in until even Sancho sat back and enjoyed the show.

Beware all passers by.

good thing, is he's gentle. We are all sacked out, so if your not doing anything, he is over there waiting. vid

Big smile on my face.

WHen VIctor walks by, REssie has recently started putting out a paw and sliding it along his back, just a touch, and a darn sweet one that has not gone un noticed.

VIctor was just burying his nose in Ressie's mane and being very gentle.
He has finally figured out that THIS cat won't poke him. :):):)
I would really like Ressie to be his baby too and for him to stress less about everything in general. Growing old and having his vision what it is has made his high strung demeanor even more so. YOu don't realize how much he can't see because he is smart and good with his nose and hearing. When the grands come however he stays in one spot on the sofa and has a cow if anyone gets too bothersome. Twice I had to tell him to move when they were here and I forgot, I said MOVE and he did, right into the train crate which made him leap back and hit the fire place and rock I have in front of it. I felt really bad and fixed the situation as fast as I could. The second time I realized my error and led him quickly around train tracks and toys. So for him to walk by and see a little white paw slide down like that is a blessing. It reminded me of the night of a thousand fingers. THat was when Victor and I were stuck in a crush of a crowd at the Plaza Lighting Ceremony. He was very young and this was his first time in a mass human situation. He handled it so well and people just knew. I watched person after person drop their fingers and touch him as they went by, letting their fingertips slide down his back. HE was over the moon happy and it was a night never to forget. Thank you Ressie.

I love this kitten so much it hurts. I was very glad his surgery was like no surgery at all. Two thumbs up and in my heart I feel I made the right decision taking him to where I knew they knew me, and would be so very careful.

Your post on Victor brought tears to my eyes, Ressie was definitely meant to stay.

REssie and his worry bowl.

:)
I made it while he had his surgery. Then I forgot it on the seat a the HS of KC on the chair when I Picked him up. Next morning I drove there and they had wrapped it up and saved it for me.
I made it into a planter, and maybe I will grow him some catnip or some grass in it.

Love Vic with his jacket on watching his new friend Ressie. That bowl is so special.

I don't know if i would call them friends yet, but Vic has become much less anxy around him. Sancho and his one nail poke Vic just to see him shriek has left a lasting distrust of all cats.

His bowl is going in the kiln, being dried out clay, no matter how compressed won't take a lot of sumersaulting.

WE got sack cat a new sack, but apparently it is not old sack. He got old torn perforated sack out of the trash, and by himself pounced, pushed, and slid it back to it's spot in teh doorway next to new sack. I am kind of impressed.

I will miss SAncho's winter coat when it is gone. He is so handsome, at least to me.
