I call my dogs my babies, but I refer to myself as I. It doesn't really make sense, but it works.

If Auggie is barking at my dad, my dad will say "Don't bark at Daddy!"

"Mommy" or "Your other mommy" depending on if she's being good or bad. :rofl1: If she's being good, I'm mommy, if she's being bad, I'm the the other mommy, and my sister is Mommy.

I refer to the dogs as "MY BABIESSS!!!", but I'm still not sure what to call myself LOL

I refer to my schnauzer like "Papa" or "Daddy". And he is a "boy" or a "son" as I have four women in my family and he is the only male besides me

It was so cute, the other day I was at my Moms house and she was chopping up some pork sausage and my Dad pipes in "Is that for the Grandkids?" pointing at the dogs! D'awwwwwwwwwwwwww

I refer to my dogs as my kids, or babies. My recall command with Bella is "Bella kid, come my kid!" yes it's that, not shorter, not different, it's always that. When I want to call both Leo and Bella at the same time it's "Come kids!" Leo's recall is normal-ish "Come-it the Leo" I don't know why, it's just that. However as much as I refer to them as kids, I am NEVER mom. It's always something like "whose my cute little babykins" never whose moms pretty baby etc. however, my mother will always say "Bella get to your mother's room right now!" or if I speak to someone who knows my dogs name but not my name like most of the people at the Rottie club I will phone them up and the conversation is like "Hi there XXX it's Alicia, Bella's mom."

I use mom or mommy either one, in a funny little,squeaky baby voice. Other dog people would understand, but just the average person may think its a tad strange.:lol-sign:

I use my name, or "me". For some reason referring to myself as "mom" of my animals squicks me out. I don't mind if people refer to me as the "aunt" of their dog though.

I am totally guilty of telling Mia that 'Mama loves you.' LOL

But other than that, it's me or I. It doesn't bother me to call myself 'mom', but it does bother me to call dogs 'babies' or 'my kids/children'. Ya, makes no sense.
