Do you refer to yourself when you're speaking to your dogs?

I always say "Mommy" or "Mama". I really have NO clue why. o_O

I don't know. Not generally "mom" or anything like that... because I'm not a mom. My mom is mom (to us kids and the dogs), haha. I don't really refer to myself as anything to my dogs I don't think. "Owner" sounds too formal. I'm just their person I guess, LOL.

I think I generally refer to myself as "me" though "mama" has come out a few times. I guess it kind of depends on the situation.

My mom refers to me as "mommy" when she speaks for the dogs...which is just kind of...odd o.0

My mom does too! LOL

She talks to my dogs and says stuff like "ask your mommy if I can give you a treat" or "your mommy won't like it if I do this" :rofl1:

calling yourself "mom or mommy" to your dog is just as creepy as calling a little girl "mami" or "little momma" ;)

Anyhoo, I just usually say I

I don't call myself anything, but my husband will say stuff like "Why are you being a brat to Mommy, Lucy?" and my agility instructor says "Go find Mom, Lucy!"

...so I guess I'm a mom anyway.

I am guilty of calling Zach "Daddy" when talking to Lucy.

"Mum"

And with Wile E. I'm "Auntie" and he is my "Nephew" even though he's owned by my "Auntie Hev" and he is Izzie's boyfriend... Sooooo we have a weird dynamic going.

"Food lady".

I don't refer to myself as "mama" with my dog but I do call my mother "Gram", and Eve gets very excited when I ask her if she wants to go see Gram. Eve's Gram also calls me Eve's mother, if she's doing something bad she says "I'm gonna tell your mooooom, Eve..."

I think I usually refer to myself as "your momma" or just "momma" when I talk to Morgan, I never really thought about it before, though. LOL! :p

Mama. And I usually refer to people who are close to him with family names, too (grandma, uncle X, aunt Y, etc.).

No, I don't think my dog is my child. It kind of just happened.
