Mac loves to be cuddled on his terms. Mostly when he's tired and during the day he wants you to pick him up and sleep in your lap. At night when we're watching TV he would rather be on the floor but still close. He needs to be with you all the time. Follows you everywhere. He does give my husband and myself equal time though. lol

Minnie is quite cuddly. She doesn't actually lie on my lap (although she does rest her head on me sometimes) she likes to be cuddled up against me when she is feeling snoozy and always wants to be around me my partner or my boys. stand still for a moment and she lies across your feet LOL. This is always preferable to her awake and bouncy mood!

Petie is a pro at cuddling, he likes to lounge on you too. But his fav thing is to lay on me with his head tucked up into my neck.
One thing that he does is sometimes a huge pain in the butt.............while working at the desk, he'll jump up and plant his arse directly on the words that I am reading or writing.
He is also a leaner.

All my other dogs vary, Bobbi loves everybody, but doesn't like to be held, but likes to stand on your lap and lick your ears, then laying his check against yours.
Hailey is vey much like her son Petie.
Sprout, she's a leg sitter or uses your butt as a pillow.
Foose, doesn't like to be held but loves to cuddle.

Tango and I have forced cuddles. She's not much of a cuddler at all, and prefers to be on the floor by herself. I don't mind as I don't enjoy a dog in my lap all the time, but I wish she was a little more cuddly than she is. She does like to jump up with just her chest and front paws on me once in a while for a cuddle and such, but not for very long. I think most of her behaviour is just that she just gets hot really easily.

Orson NEVER goes away, hahahahhaha, if he isn't trying to be in your lap, he is sitting on your feet. Any signal that you are willing brings on the cuddles for him

My little girl, Pinkie, can be a cuddler when she wants to be, lays her head on my shoulder when I pick her up, washes my hands, neck, arms, toes - she has a toe fetish, actually, and not real picky about whose toes they are. Whenever she sees me getting ready to sit down to watch TV, or lay down for "nappie" time, she goes & grabs a bone and jumps up beside me.

My little boy, Willie (a rescue), is much more needy when I'm sitting around, having to be on my lap, or even on my belly with his paws on my chest, staring in my face. Even outside, he prefers to sit on the canopy swing with me, than to be on the ground.... so much for a playyard for them. LOL He sleeps on the bottom of the bed, or on the floor, tho.

My aussies are both very mushy dogs,,my female especially has to be in your lap, head in your lap touchy feely dog..

My GSD's -my female is not really a cuddler, she likes affection but she is much more independent, as long as she can keep an eye on you, she'll stick with you but she's isn't a phsyically clingy dog. My male GSD, well he's had his head glued to my leg for almost 10 years now, has to be within 2 feet of me at all times, yet I can leave him for 8 hours and he's fine with that..

sylvie isn't a huge cuddler. i guess i would describe her as needing to be comfortable. she is happy to lay somewhere in the same room most of the time, and tends to find the most comfy spot for that. if she's chewing a bone, she goes where she can have some space. she often enjoys snuggling up on the couch next to me [not on me], unless i move too much. then she either moves to the other end of the couch or onto the floor. when i am at my computer, she is generally on a blanket under the desk, or on a pile of papers on the floor. right now, i have moved her blanket from under the desk [i was organizing] and its thrown into the office doorway and she is laying there.

Wally is an attention *****, so he will ever so sweetly snuggle into you on the couch or in bed at night. That's why one of his nicknames is Snuggle Bunny.

Athena . . . well when she ever slows down long enough to snuggle she tries to lie down on my chest. Being that she has to be 40+ pounds by now it's not the most comfortable thing in the world! I'd better stop it before she's full grown!

Eve will cuddle with those she deems worthy. She's so small, it's easy just to scoop her up and hug her. She'll gently press her nose up against your face without licking. It's so gentle and sweet.

Dakota will lean on me and periodically put his front end in my lap for scratches, but he's not a full-body cuddler. He's pretty affectionate though, when he feels like it.

Ripley isn't a cuddly dog at all, but he will snuggle up and sleep on a lap if he's in the car. Otherwise, he wants to be on the floor and doing his own thing.

Tia is always on me, right now actually...along with Amos and Lola:), I can't imagine sitting anywhere except the kitchen table without her tucked into my lap or housecoat or sweater..*melts* My little chocolate tumor:D

Sophie literally rubs up against me like a cat and will MOAN.:lol-sign: , I've never seen a large female dog so affectionate but still not needy..if that makes any sense. She goes off to lay by herself but if you walk towards her even in deep sleep, she'll wrigle around and invite a cuddle.

Tinker and Lola both love to cuddle but are most content just to be beside you and touching somewhere..

Amos is without a doubt the most cuddly dog I've ever met. He needs it like air....and he LOVES to be squeezed hard too. Such a funny little man.

Mocha lives to cuddle. He attaches himself to me like superglue whenever I'm around.

Missy & Muffin loves to be held & laid upside down on my arm or between my legs for a belly scratch. If they see me sit down, they would ask to come up to my lap, and stay there until I stand up. So, if I'm walking around, you'd see Missy following me with a ball in her mouth asking for a fetch game, Muffin circling around me waiting for her turn to be petted, and Mocha glueing himself to my side, but if I sit down, then all three dogs will be on my lap! :)

Reecie is not cuddly at ALL. She's never sat in my lap, never wanted to be all over me or anything! She does like to be pet though, but she'll usually be sitting a bit away so ya have to stretch out your arm to reach her.

Maggie, on the other hand, the moment you sit down, she's in your lap! Normally, she'll just stand there, but every once in a while, when she's really tired, she'll lay down.
