I have my vet, who uses holistic and traditional medicine, who I go to for check-ups, shots, supplements, etc. And the emergency vet (VCA) who used to be my everyday vet too when I lived right by them. They're open 24/7 and took care of Gonzo when he was very sick.

I have 4 :) To keep things simple.

I have one *main* vet, who I see for everything, both ferret and Rosey goes to her if she needs to. Although, she is only in on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

I have another vet I will see at that same office, who I go to if the main vet is not there or is swamped, and it is an emergency and needs to be seen that day. I am not even sure of her schedule, I have never had an issue where neither were there.

I have 2 other vets at another office, that is about 10 mins further away walking, in case I absolutely cannot get in with the closer ones, or if it is something that needs more than that office can do.

Then I have the vet at the emergency clinic, who I feel comfortable seeing if need be.

ETA: I guess that is actually 5... :p

I guess you could say I have four vets. 3 vets that work in the same office of which I have no preference who sees my dogs, and the vet my parents use.

If my animals were up here with me, I'd have around 20 or so I suppose.

One, the one I work for. Well, I guess technically two, because the relief vet that comes in sometimes has seen my dogs before, too. I actually prefer her, but I haven't seen her in a long time :(

Three vets at one clinic have seen Finn and the ferrets, but I have one "dedicated" vet there, I only see the others when she's not available.

A chiro vet which we use for that sort of stuff.
A local vet we use for everything else, when my get my license I'll probably use the chirovet for more surgeries.

Ha ha, I voted 3+.

-- Bailey's primary vet is a homeopathic vet. Love her.
-- He also has an internal medicine specialist (he has IBD) who we see about yearly (thankfully we don't need to any more often than that).
-- And he has a traditional vet for the odd occasion where we need it -- e.g., when we need a KC vax or Heartgard.
The above three practices work together regularly (the specialist actually recommended the other two) and respect each other it has worked out really well for us -- I very much like all 3.

He also has a chiro, e-vet practice and will soon see a dentist (all of which have been referred by one or more of the above).

It's ridiculous. My dog is a money pit. :lol-sign: Good thing he's also the best dog ever.

The office we go to has 2 - a husband & wife team. We generally see him but his wife is AOK too.:) And, of course, there is a 24 hr e-vet in the area that we've had to go to in the past as well.

Two.

One for the dogs and cats and one for the horses.

But, when I get my own place with my own dogs and cats, I'll probably up that number to three, as there is this one vet who does MEGA cheap shots.

At the moment we kind of don't have one lol. We're never going back to our previous vet, and we have yet to see the new vet... but if we don't like him then we don't have a vet.

I'll just go with ONE. Haha.

At the moment I have no vet. I dislike the vet Bella/Leo have been going to in the past as she really sees $$$ when she sees me come in. She KNOWS Bella has issues with this and that skin problems, stomach problems you name it. She also pretty much attacked me for what I was feeding my dog once. I was really broke for about 3 months and Bella was eating super market food, the "only-one-source-of-protein-is-bone-meal" type food. Before that Bella was eating the food the vet gave her. Royal Canin Rottie specific which seemed to give Bella a horrible stomach problem. Needless to say I was PO and she wasn't letting up so I haven't seen her since, but then again my dogs haven't needed a vet since. Someone recommended a vet to me but I haven't yet seen him or spoken to him, I will go there for Leo's annual and then see what there is to be said. So right now, no vet

I selected 3+...

We have our main vet's office, where Morgan and the cats go for general check-ups, boosters, sick days, emergencies, etc. It's a pretty big office... two buildings and several doctors. We usually go to one building and see one doctor, but in a pinch we can see anybody there. We like them all. :)

We also have our chosen emergency 24-hour clinic, where we go in the middle of the night if there is a problem. Generally, though, we still see our regular vet for emergencies if at all possible.

Then there is our exotics vet, where the sugar gliders/rats/mice/snakes/etc. all go. This generally is another "emergencies only" place for us, though, because of the prices. I like them a lot and don't mean to complain about the cost, but that's just the way it is with exotics.

One that is fan-freaking-tastic for the horses (have been a client, though it changed hands, for 18 years)

One for the dogs (and cats when I had them). I really like them, though have a better relationship with the equine clinic. (client for 6 years) The new clinic is right on the main vet's farm, right on the outskirts of town, so they are also my e vet. They have been fantastic for e vet stuff. If anyone remembers the dekklet debacle, that vet was up through the night giving us advice and did the c section at 2AM.

Two. One is a basic care clinic for shots, heart worm meds and such. One is for lyme vaccine, and anything requiring an x ray or extensive treatment.

Before Emma: 1

We have 2 now (normal vet, e-vet). We had 3 during Emma's head injury (normal vet, e-vet, neurologist).

Our normal vet office is mainly holistic, but they use traditional medicine as well.

I'm hoping the e-vet won't ever be on a recurring basis, but we've used them twice in the past 7 months (the e-vet we've seen is AWESOME, too).
