Twice a day.
Though sometimes Millie and I work very heavily in training, and she can end up with tons of treats (I use kibble a lot) that will replace a meal, or they will have a raw meal out of the regular ordinary kibble feeding times.

Twice a day and kibble used for training whenever it tickles our fancy to have a training session. But actually food in the bowl it's food time is twice a day.

Flicka and Pepe get fed twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.

My fosters get fed two or three times a day. A lot of the time they are very skinny when they first come here, and breaking their daily food intake into three times instead of two helps them keep the weight on and not gorge themselves.

2x/day.....before 8 am and then between 5-6 pm

And I can't stray from that with Orson 'cause he gets a very acidic tummy and WILL throw up stomach bile if he goes to long between feedings.....a very unpleasant pile of greenish slime :D

Once every few weeks, whether he needs it or not.

Izzy/Frodo get fed twice a day.
Mollie gets fed every night at 9, that's the only time she will eat.

Now I only feed her once a day. I give her dry food with a little bit of wet food or meat on top in the morning. She eats the wet and a little of the dry right away, but she takes the rest of the day to eat the rest of the dry food. She usually just eats a few pieces at a time.

I used to free feed but after Sal's neuter he would empty both dishes right away. Then I went to once a day. I then switched to twice a day because I have read that it is healthier, especially for Senior dogs....which Athena is a Senior dog.

I free feed because both of my dogs just snack all day. Occasionally Maggie pigs out and will practically eat her whole bowl in one sitting. But not often.
