Dream breed, no. I love Brittanys, but they aren't *quite* perfect for me. I look forward to finding it someday, though. :)

Dream dog, basically. There are a couple little things about Rowan that drive me nuts, but I am so head over heels for him, it's ridiculous. I think of him as perfect despite those few "flaws." He and I mesh on such a deep level that I'm not sure it would even be possible for me to have a more perfect dog. I feel like if you took away his negative traits, you would have to sacrifice somewhere else. He's just that awesome. He's not perfect, but he's perfect enough to me, and I feel that constitutes a "dream dog."

I don't know... maybe?

I have Springers because Buzz was a "family dog" who was way too much "smart dog" for the family. Bailey was purchased for me, because I wanted a compliment to Buzz.

Gabby is just the perfect dog for me right now and for the foreseeable future. She eased into my house so seamlessly and 97% of the time is that easy going, take anywhere, do anything with, dog.

I know I won't venture away from sporting dogs and I may not even venture away from Spaniels. I've fallen in love with a lab or two in the last couple years... :)

I'm yet to own my dream dog. And I don't think BC's are my dream breed but I will def. own more in future.
Nextdog will likely be a GSD or Mal.

But after that I want a Kelpie. I have adored them since I was young and probs should have got one when I got Quinn. Just something about them, whenever I see a picture or meet a new one IRL they just grab me, there is something about them.

Dream dog? Absolutely. Before Journey, I never imagined that I could actually end up with a dog that fits me so well. She is everything I've ever hoped for in a dog and then some. If I could fill my life with a million Journeys and nothing else, I would. There is pretty much nothing about her that I don't enjoy. Journey is without a doubt my once in a lifetime dream dog. She's not perfect, and we haven't been without a few bumps in the road, but she's perfect for me.

Dream breed? I'm not sure. Based on my experience with Journey alone, I could say yes. I could say that Aussies are definitely my breed. Especially considering how long I've liked them. But she is only one example, and until I have another, I won't really know I don't think. I like them a lot, and they're one of my favourite breeds, but I don't like all Aussies. I like a certain type. Fortunately Journey's breeder and co-breeder produce just the type of Aussie I like, and so do probably others too if I looked, so I imagine that my life will be filled with Aussies from here on out. They are now the breed I don't want to be without, so in a sense, yes, I guess I could consider them my 'dream' breed.

That said, I am sure other breeds could suit me just as well. There are a couple more breeds that I'd like to own in my lifetime that I feel would fit me just as well as my Aussie does. But we'll see what happens when I actually end up with those breeds.

I own my dream breeds, Pit Bull type and GSD. Honestly, my dream dog had issues and I lost her at 6 to cancer. BUT she was my dream dog. I love her.

Judge is my dream dog as well. Rasta is a baby, time will tell. LoLa.....well, not everyone can live with a Grogre!

Dream dog? Yes, without a doubt. Merlin is my goofy, happy, sweet, cuddly soul mate. Alerting to my seizures and just being.. himself.. sealed the deal.

Dream breed? Not sure. I don't know if I love aussies or if I just love aussies from Merlin's breeder or if I just love Merlin haha who knows.

The breed thing is hard, because I know that if Merlin's breeder decided to not breed anymore, I wouldn't own another aussie. Sooo I guess that means they aren't "my dream breed" because I feel like most of you would pursue your dream breed even if your preferred breeder wasn't available.

I think maybe in the future my dream breed will be something a little more low-key. I love my mer-man but some days I think I'd enjoy having a french bulldog or a pug :rofl1:

I'm getting there.. Lol.

I've met many ACD's in my day and just recently some very nicely bred ones. The nicely bred ones are my dream breed. Stable, go anywhere and do anything, intense and drivey but solid off switch. Can go from lounging around the house to busting butt in the stock pens.

However, I don't have one in the house ATM. Soon, very soon.

I love Boxers and Pitties, but they aren't perfect for me nor would I call them my breed. And a Rider.. well he's got a lot of anxiety and is an odd duck, so he's not perfect either.

I'm getting closer, I think.

Blackie was my dream dog, minus some dog/dog aggression issues. In getting Abrams, I was hoping to stack the odds in my favor by getting a breed with the characteristics that Blackie had.

So far, so good. ;) Abrams is turning out to be just what I wanted. But I wouldn't say Chessies are "my" breed. At least, I can't say that until I have more experience with Chessies other than just Abrams. He is literally the only Chessie I've ever interacted with. LOL

Well, so far Feist is pretty darn great in every way, so we'll see. She's exactly what I was hoping for. Except for the part where she licks my feet and grunts like a pig. I think I've found a great breed for me, but there are also other breeds I'm interested in.

Gavroche is my heart dog. Logan is my partner. Both are special to me, but both have their flaws (Gavroche has more flaws than Logan by a longshot, but that doesn't stop him from being my heart dog). However, I can't reasonable expect a dog to have NO flaws. Honestly, Logan's about as perfect as I can expect a dog to be. Some future dog may change my mind on that, but for now, he's it <3

In general, collies are an amazing fit for me, and I'll probably always have one. Logan in particular is absolutely fantastic. I adore boxers, too, but their health issue may prevent me from having many more in the future.

I think koolies may end up being my "dream breed" but I REALLY want to meet some in person to find out for sure. I also adore dobes. Standard poodles are another breed I REALLY want some day, but after getting back into herders I don't see them as my "dream breed" anymore.

My 'dream breed' has changed over the years honestly as I've gotten more years of dog ownership. I wanted a beezer so bad it hurt for about 10 years and now I am not interested in owning them at all.

I adore my two dogs and they are fantastic dogs who have been a great experience to own. Papillons are amazing dogs but if I am being honest, I don't know if I will have another papillon for a while after these two. I just see my needs in a dog changing and I need something bigger and with more drive/endurance.

But on the other hand my two are so much fun to live with and it is very hard for me to imagine not having a little crazy pap around the house. There is just something about them and how they interact with their owners that I love. Maybe I will always have a pap around because of that.

If I am 100% honest, I think border collies are still my dream breed but I'm a little scared to jump straight into one.

Yes I do. Honestly Australian shepherds are the only breed I see myself owning in the future. Adele was a fluke, I did not go looking for a gsd, but i fell in love with an individual dog. I don't see myself with another gsd when Adele is gone.

That would have probably been this dog for me:

The dog I had wanted since I was old enough to ask for a dog and a pretty much perfect one at that :)

I love both of my dogs very much and they are very good dogs, but each have a couple of quirks that keep them from being my "dream dog"
This, only with three dogs. My next dog will hopefully combine everything I love in my current dogs with a rock solid temperament.

Dream Breed: For sure! Catahoula are just about the most perfect fit I can think of for me there is not a single thing I would change about them.

Dream Dog: As much as I want to call Atlas my dream dog I cant, heart dog though? Undoubtedly.

Dream breed. Yes, I will always have a dalmatian with me.
Dream dog. Depends on how you look at it. If I was single and lived alone, most defiantly. However I am not and do not, so not so much. He has alot of quirks for family life. But he has been a dream in other areas and has allowed me do to do things I wouldn't have with out him.

Hmm...I don't know. I love both Art and Talon for their personalities but I'm not sure either are my dream dog. Both have things that I'd prefer were a bit different, with Talon being darn close! I do think I'll own a border collie again though, I really love almost everything about him!
