Definitely getting there!

I love Jasper but I don't know that I would have a Collie again. Or if I did, I would be much more particular about the breeder (and it would probably be when I was old and wanted a lower energy dog)

Malinois I LOVE LOVE so far. Onyx is a great dog, not perfect, but then no dog is. I was a little worried about what I was getting into with a Malinois but I think the breed suits me quite well. I like this particular brand of crazy.

Yarrow, I love a lot of things about him, even though him and Onyx are almost polar opposites temperamentally but I really like how they offset each other. Yarrow has MAJOR issues that I hope I never have to deal with again, but I could see always having a Mal and a big, fluffy wolfy dog :)

More north of south, but more south of north.

Rotties have been in my life since I was a kid and I don't expect that trend to stop. I'd say they are my dream dog; they are what I like aesthetically and the dogs I have owned have all been great to work with.

Now, whether or not I'm a dream owner to them in a whole 'nother story. :p

I will certainly have another long haired whippet. If Shaman is this awesome coming from a byb and being poorly socialized, I can only imagine how great one from a good breeder would be. He's still much shier then I would like, but making progress.

Gambit....no more coydogs! He is my heart and soul, and I would do anything for him, but hybrids just shouldn't be. He's got a paw in two worlds and doesn't belong to either.

You just need a nice smoothie, that's all ;) Logan's by no means a malinois, but he's not the lazy collie that I hear described so often (even his rough littermates/half siblings/etc sound sleepy compared to him).

Totally, I have heard that the smooths are much more energetic. I could see that some day!

Fozzie is close to my dream dog... but I'd like him to be higher energy, and I want to do confo. So, my dream dog is a purebred Cardigan with a Fozzie-like personality. I should have just that next summer!!! :)

Dream breed, I think so. I guess I don't want to say for certain because I've only ever owned one German Shepherd, but I know I'll always have one in my life.

Dream dog, not quite. I love Trent with all my heart and he is a fantastic dog, but he has a few traits and quirks that I'm not fond if. He's a very good dog for me though and I'd have another like him in a heartbeat.

Pretty much this!

I'm fairly certain I've found "my" breed - I've never fallen so hard for a breed and the people involved in it. They are everything I was looking for and failing to find 100% in other breed. I would definitely like to try other breeds as well though (GSD, BC, etc) - but I think I'll always have an ES.

Quinn is not my dream dog, but very close. She is not an easy dogs in some regards and there are minor things I wouldn't mind changing. However, overall she is a great fit for me and is just so naturally and effortlessly my type. I would not give her up for anything, though!

Ma'ii is my dream breed, but not my dream dog. He just has way to many issues that unfortunately I don't think he's ever going to be able to get over, and it prevents me from doing a lot of things with him that I would have loved to do otherwise. I love him just the same though, and he's my dog until the day he dies.

Charlotte is closer to my "dream dog", if it weren't for her fear issues.

I've loved reading these. I agree with some people who've said they've found their breed but there are things about their individual dog that they wish they could change. That's how I feel about Hunter. I've fallen in love with Cockers but there are a couple of things I wish I could change about Hunter that keep him from being my dream dog, even though I love him to bits.

I would like to change my answer I am feeling very sick today and Merlin has been out but keeps bringing balls to me and whining.

He is usually so GOOD at settling down but to be fair I've been feeling iffy all week so I guess that long without exercise is making him antsy

BUT I DONT WANT TO GO PLAY WITH YOU UGHHHHHH
GO AWAY.

I want a french bulldog that sleeps all day.

LOL. Fran. You are not allowed to change your answer. :p Actually the few young french bull dogs I've met are pretty energetic, so I'm not sure you'd be better off. :rofl1: Anyway... I hope you feel better soon.

Mia is definitely my favorite dog I've ever had. I think ideal exists mostly in your head... I can't imagine even if a dog ticks off all my boxes that I will be more bonded than I am with Mia. Mia wouldn't be Mia without all her quirks.

So true. While I'd love a dog who was super focused on me and fell over himself to do what I asked, if Watson acted like that he would lose a lot of what makes him charming. I've noticed that he gets a lot of positive response from people watching him, and a lot of that is because of his overwhelming enthusiasm and being just on the edge of crazy and doing something totally unpredictable. It makes him challenging, but it's also one of the things I love about him.

I don't want to jinx myself, but my AST pup, Rhys, is pretty much everything I've ever dreamed of. I love him to pieces and he's pretty darn perfect in my eyes.

I love my Henry boy tremendously, and having him these past 6 years has really helped me focus on what type of dogs I want going forward.

I've met some Frenchies that would drive me batty, so I'm not sure they're the answer. LOL

You need a Gracie. She is like a cat in a dog body. Give her sun to lay in, a lap to sit on, a blanket to burrow in, food, water, and a place to pee that isn't being rained or snowed on and she's as happy as can be.
