One. Some day I'd like two. Any more than that and I'd have to be living with someone else and the other dogs would be theirs. I used to think I wanted more, but after having three cats I'm pretty sure I don't want to be solely responsible for more than two.

Not true. With a family of 3 its not that hard. I find myself I can give lots of attention and training to 3 dogs easily. It depends on your dogs. Dekka just wants to lie near me. Kaiden is so independent he rarely wants attention. Bounce and Dash run from person to person when they want attention (and find someone who isn't busy) The whippets and the BC play HARD together out in the yard. Then they come in and snuggle with eachother or people. Snip loves to be near me chewing on something. He will come up and ask for attention if I have been busy. (not so much this year, but last year when I was in school he would need to remind me)

All the dogs compete in things, racing agility obedience etc. Basically in what ever they find the most fun. I have enough time to train them. It all depends on how much effort you want to put in, and how important your dogs are to you.

I disagree too . Dogs are pack animals and love their own as much as they love us . Mine all had individual love as well as group0 love .
