TY that is what I used to own LOL Their nick name in florida is skinks. My pick in the top post is of a green anole.. they are awesome I like how they change colors. In my old house we had a second living room and we had a fish tank and and an aviary for birds and diffrent types of ivy crawling all over the wall. I used to let my green anole play in the ivy. They love bananas! Its fun to watch them eat crickets.

You are very lucky to have lizards to go check out anytime you want to. We have a huge population of them out here as well. Wild creatures dont make good pets and do much better left in the wild. It took me a lot of years and nasty bites to understand that, but you're a lot smarter than I was at your age.

oh I love lizzards and living in the desert there are so many different kinds. I have geckos all over my yard as well as whip tails, alligator, blue belly, desert Iguna (sp) chckwallas, Horned toads , and several other types I just love them. I catch them quite often by seeing them and sneaking up on them and the snatch for their head which usually gets them behind their shoulders.
I had a pair of Chukwallas for years in the house. Man could they give a very painfull bite when they had a mind to. I harnessed them in lizzard harnesses to keep their wild abilities in them and had them outside often to make sure they could survive and eventually released them. They lived in my yard for years and even let me handle them from time to time.
I have had many types of lizzards including a big green Iguanna that used to ride around on the dashboard of my car when we went somewhere. The one thing that I have found and don't know that this is true for everyone is that even if they are raised in captivity they never really get tame and can and do deliver a very nasty bite from time to time but I still love them.
I like snakes too but don't like the way they feed so wont own one but both of my kids have had boas and pythons after they moved out of my house lol.
I was the only female growing up that ran with the boys and could catch more snakes, scorpions, and lizzards then they could lol.

Wild animals belong in the wild.

You don't go out and steal pups from a wolf pack to raise as a dog.....

You don't go out and remove lizards from their habitat only to be stuck in captivity, they don't belong there.
