High Heels are so bad!!!!

Lol my moms work is having a business party/dinner thing for charity and its formal. My mom also volunteered me to sing . Which really its okay in the way I love the stage like I have said many times and I do like doing my acoustic blues like songs as much as performing with the band. In all truth I would much rather be playing music there then forcing polite conversation with people who still think im 5 ..........yeah

The bad part? Once again it is formal!!! I do get to wear the one dress I do like which is my long black dress that reminds me of the adams family lol. But I also have to wear heels . My mom and I argued about this for 2 hours and she won. Have I mentioned I can't walk in them? I have "worn" them to dances but im the first one to strip my shoes off right in the door and throw them in the corner until the end of the dance . And I can't strip my shoes off at this event lol.

So I have been practicing all day trying to walk in these stupid things. I can't count how many times i've almost twisted my ankle. And how many times i have actually just plain fallen over . Oh but my mom thinks its funny so thats all that matters.......

This is why I hate going to formal things!

Lol your definetely going to want to practice before you wear them in public just remember that when your wearing those shoes you can't walk on your heels you have to stay on the ball of your foot and place one foot almost directly in front of the other

When I was a college, right before the annual summer ball we had a "Heel -athon" All us Equine (Horsey), Tree Surgeons, and horticulturalists (normally used to trumping about in huge boots with soles like tractor tyres) spent a week trying to learn how to walk in the darn things!! Didn't work though, 1/2 an hour after we all got there, we threw off the heels, put our boots back on and wore DM's with evening dresses! Classy or what hey! LOL!

What anna suggested about staying on the ball of your foot is a little off. I'm sure that's not what she meant to say, cuz it would look like you were tiptoeing everywhere.
Just put the heels on and walk around the house for an hour each day. Eventually it will get to be second nature to you.
Yes, "heel-toe, heel-toe" is correct. Put the heel of the shoe down, the roll onto your toe. Don't just lift your foot up and down, it has to look natural.

I can not walk in heels at all! If I'm going somewhere formal my heels are nice and thick so I can be tall and classy, but not fall all over the place! LOL

heels...I can't believe I ever wore the darn things. last time I wore them, my car broke down and I had to walk down a highway. I then carried tennies with me. I can rollerblade.......but can't walk in heels anymore. strange coordination. they do just make a girl feel sexy tho!

I wore the darn things for 50 yrs and they ruined my feet , especially the pointed toe and spiked heels era. I can't wear them any more so I'm not as chic ! They do make nicer looking legs.

There is just something about heels that change my whole outlook for myself. I feel sexier, more feminine and desireable. I don't know what it is. I don't wear them all that often though.

Just practice practice practice. Heel-toe heel-toe. Try not to walk like a horse and walk a bit slower then normal. that serves 3 purposes: 1. easier, 2. more 'ladylike', and 3. sexier (more hip action going on)

Pixie, see if you can't get your Mom to go shoe shopping with you and maybe find a really gorgeous pair of formal shoes with what they call a "court heel." They're very dressy, look fantastic with formal wear, have a ton of style . . . and you can walk in them! I learned about that after YEARS of having one of the world's best collections of high heeled black pumps, lol!

I do like wearing sneakers and so...but heels are soooo awesome!!

There is nothing better than cute heels! I do like stilettos, too, they are very cute...especially with jeans and cute shirt. (sorry for my over-do with "cute" )
Pixie...just practice...I forgot who is was...but a heel-toe rolling movement is exactly what you want to do. And with a little practice you'll be able to do a sprint to catch a bus

puck it is your leg muscles..the calves that are thinned and elongated not your butt IF i wore heels i would be 6 ft tall or worse So i was lucky and was able to stay with the smaller heels.
Wish i could hear you play Pixie! Are you an alto? My daughter sings and i would arrange songs on the piano to suit her key. She has a deep rich voice. We had a lot of good times her singing and my playing

My daughter is 5'11 and has really lonnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg legs. When she wears heels....whic she does quite often, she is well over six feet tall and she doesn't care.LOL I gotta love her for that.

I to used to wear heels back in the day, as my kids refer to my younger years...LOL I can't tolerate them for very long now that I'm not used to wearing them. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

It does seem that most all men find them very sexy for sure...I do have to say that even still when I wear heels I still feel like a hottie!! They're fun once in a while.
